Gaviscon Cool Tablets 12's - £1.00 @ PoundLand

Was in Poundland today and picked up a few of these. It's the tiny handy tub of 12 tablets that are in the chemists for between £2.80 and £3.50 I know cos I always have to buy them for the wife. I thought it was a brilliant price but I dont know if it's just a one off or getting them in regular. They also had the normal Gaviscon tablets in box of 8's peppermint flavour £1...............

FRom experienceIf u eat to many of these u will end up with kidney stones.

Take ranitidine instead , 1 pill will last 12 hours for indegestion as it reduces the acid in your stomach

Poundshop sell packets of 6 for £1 it is the same as rantac

The one I work in gets them in occasionally but they can disappear off the order form so don't rely on a constant stock :)

Gaviscon Cool : Sodium alginate, sodium bicarbonate, calcium carbonate.

So not as good as Gavilast. Also Poundland do a generic 6 pack of ranitidine based tabs. Better off getting them

Hi guys, last week Poundland had Gaviscon Cool 32 packs for £1.
I bought 5 as I use them often.
A real bargain as they are about £4.50 each in Boots. Virtually 5 for the price of 1.
Sorry I should have posted earlier, but look out for them, they may still be available.

I would highly recommend that anyone suffering from heart burn, acid indigestion or reflux go to see their doctor and get tested for Helicobacter pylori, after suffering undiagnosed with mild heart burn for several years despite repeated visits to a doctor I asked to be tested after a friend told me about it.

They wouldn't test me there but gave me the antibiotics which I was on for a couple of weeks, and I haven't had any problems since.

Helicobacter pylori is apparently a major cause of stomach upsets amongst people the world over. A lot of people are carriers but suffer no ill effects.

More info here:

I also was diagnosed with an h-pyroi infection , its quite common , worth spending the money on the antibiotics as was spending £15-20 month on antiacids which brought on a kidney stone - its a simple blood test or you can by simple tests from a pharmacy.
