Self adhesive GB car sticker reduced from 74p down to 9p.

Don't know if this is nationwide, but was in the motor section of the Five Ways store in Birmingham.

Perfect for those summer hols!

Fantastic price, Heat added. I use a magnetic one, but they can be stolen whilst abroad. I will look at my local branch and see if they have any.
#4
We use an "Eccose" one. It tends to meet friendlier responses.
#5
great for traders who always use them to cover up dent and rust lol! heat and rep added
#6
why not just say it has no EU symbol in the very first post?
#7

You need to put a GB sticker on your car; if not you will/can get an an on-the-spot fine.

If you have a Euro-symbol on your number plate (BS AU 145d standard) then you don’t need a GB sticker when driving in Europe. But if you go outside the EU, and that includes Switzerland, you need a GB sticker as well.

Yep agreed, you need one of these unless you have the GB symbol on your license plate.
toured Europe a few years ago on the bike, and the Swizz border patrol not to impressed after I had lost mine.

Excellent. Just bought 100 for £9 instead of £74. Got some odd looks though.

I cannot vouch for the truth of this, but I heard it once on the radio. Apparently the requirement to put one on these identification marks on your car is a part of the Geneva Convention. Yes, that Geneva Convention, the one about name, rank and serial number.

Probally cheap because he is no longer the prime minister.

Carefull with these, they are very difficult to unstick.
I used some seller tape to fix one on the inside of the back screen.

Can anyone advise are these meant to correspond to your passport or to where the car was registered? I bought my car in britain but don't have a british passport - should i have my countries sticker on there or GB?

You will get flamed for saying that (I know anyone with sense in todays climate will do it) and all the muppets on Ebay will under cut you until they make a loss and don't realise it.
Ebay, item for sale and selling at £6.99 and someone comes and under cuts at £5.80 - IDIOTS! £6.95 yeah ok.

This is a great site and I've used it for a long time before creating an account several months ago so that I could "put something back" to the HUKD community.

My first deal was an in-store BOGOF deal on a bottle of £3.99 mouthwash, which was immediately voted cold. Some of the comments were "I don't like it anyway" and "it's cheaper in Morrison's" (which wasn't even the same item)...surely, something being HOT or COLD should depend on if it's a GOOD DEAL (ie. a significant saving) rather than people arbitrarily voting for no good reason. This GB sticker is a good example...it saves you 65p and has, as far as I can make out, only been seen in 1 store in Birmingham. Hmmm...a saving of 65p or a saving of £3.99 (in all stores)...which is the better deal? "great for traders who always use them to cover up dent and rust lol! heat and rep added"...seriously? Come on...

It shouldn't matter if it's relevant or useful to you or not...if you were a vegetarian, would you vote cold for chicken breasts reduced from £2.99 to £1 just because you didn't eat meat? I'll continue to use HUKD, as it's a great site and most of the deals posted are excellent but the way things are voted for is definitely off putting. If I'm missing something, I'd love somebody to point it out...

This is one deal the poundshop idiots can't post on i.e. Specialized Inner Tube Hot deal @ £2 quid and the usual clowns post Cold - 2 (cr4p tubes) for a £1 at poundland. There are many idiots on here and it is scary but the same idiots can vote at general election.

How exactly does the Geneva Convention got to do with 'name rank and serial number' or car stickers? If you beleive stuff you hear on the radio, then you're the kind of person who'll most likely win a Darwin Award
