Telford has this too. Brilliant service from the Libraries (and OP!).
Thanks for this
You can use the normal Zinio app to read the library books provided you have the same username/email address so it syncs the account together.

I have been using Zinio for a while to get a number of free magazines each month. There is 'Zinio for Libraries' (free mags) and 'Zinio' (you pay for mags). You can set up an email service to let you know when the latest mag is out so you can download it. I think the mags have more adverts in them but I might be wrong. That said I did subscribe to a couple of mags through the post which cost a bit each month and they were still filled up with adverts. I use the Android app to read them on my tablet and there is an app for IPads. Unfortunately Windows does not have an app but you can log onto your account online to read them but cannot download them.

Hi Guys,

I don't seem to receive the $5 vouchers anymore.... I used to receive them on both my accounts, and quite often too... I was wondering if Zinio still sends these vouchers or not...

Any suggestion on how to receive them again? I also renewed a subscription, so I have actually spent money with one of my accounts...

Thanks a lot to those who gonna reply.

Yes they still send them out randomly, the more free offers you take the more vouchers they send haha. I added my Zinio account to an Asus Memopad last week and received an email for another load of mini subscriptions and single issues. Remember it's only an incentive so they don't have to send out any discount codes / free subs etc

Just did via my Windows phone and got my subscriptions through. Sweet deal.
Glad it worked for you, you'll probably get a free $5 voucher code emailed to you soon too as that tends to happen after taking an already free deal from Zinio :)

I haven't got an email for a free voucher code, but some reason I got a bunch of magazines I didn't pay for added to my reading list, including one I was about to purchase that I thought was a little too expensive, so I didn't bother! Not exactly sure why I got these magazines for free, but I'm not complaining!
Cool they have Fader, Huck and Little White Lies!

Twenty Six Pence.

And a $5 voucher that you could of spent on something more worthwhile, of course. (Don't ask me what)

True, but the thing is, i'm not willing to spend any real money on that site for a magazine i can only really "read" on an iPhone.

So for something like this, for a bit of minor titillation(so to speak), 26p is about the extent of what i'd be willing to part with.

If you're just buying it for the pictures, which you obviously are, may I introduce you to the internet?

Internet, this is Hank, he wants to see titties.

Hank, this is the internet, it has lots of titties. For free.

You two should get along famously.

Twenty Six Pence.

That's all it cost me.

So why the hell not ?

Is it translated to English? Playboy is actually a good read, well th American one is anyway.

It's not translated, no. I had a look at the first issue and it's all still in russian. Still, not bad for 26p :)

does anyone know if they exist in Northern Ireland, specifically Belfast or Lisburn ?

searching and not finding and also tried modifying the url :(
Only just found this thread.
What a great service. Seems like most of the magazines are the same across the different libraries although my library also offers TV Times !
I think they would look better on a 9" screen rather than my 7" Nook but still readable.
If you live in an area close to more than one library district, you can access the magazines for all of them. I get mags from Dudley, Worcestershire, Staffordshire, and Solihull. With Worcestershire, you have to go into the library to pick up your library card and Staffordshire will post it out.

Also, for the trial service no library card is needed and is accessible here:

Thanks for sharing!! Just downloaded the last few months of New Scientist, Android, Cosmo and BBC Good Food all for FREE! Yay....

I've never been sent any vouchers but maybe that's because I don't buy many magazines.
I think I got one $5 voucher for joining or something but nothing in the year since then.

I got 2 $5 vouchers and 1 £8 in the last couple of weeks. That's on the account though that I've never spent any money. So don't buy anything and they may keep on sending you vouchers.

I'm now set up and running for Bucks Library Services, who knew all about it when I popped in an asked. Many thanks for posting this info - for me it counts as the best freebie I have ever seen on HUKD.

Did you get pointed at a link online or was it all in the library? I'm in South Bucks as far as you know would that make a difference?

My local library (Princes Risborough) runs occasional tutorial sessions on using the library's 'e' facilities. I attended one this morning and found it very useful - I took my own iPad in, and it was great to be told about and shown where to access any extra software needed to make the various applications work. As 'e' magazines, books and music all seem to need different softwares and applets to make them work, the on site 'hand-holding' saved me a deal of head scratching. It may be that I am particularly fortunate to live in an area where the Library Services go out of their way to help, but I doubt if Bucks is unique in this respect, and have posted this item in case it is of use to anyone else.
Just signed up and unfortunately 'World Soccer' isn't on my library's list. Can someone check their account to see if its still available?

Edit - Found out it is but my library service doesn't subscribe to it. I've put in a request, so fingers crossed.
