For those's who want to spend 100% more for the ultimate over the standard edition.

I ordered the standard one at the Game Collection this morning, I feel your pain everyone who feel they should of got the Ultimate!!!

Update: I'm actually happy with just the standard now (in my opinion) after reading what the season pass brings to the table.

That is crazy good!

What's so good about it? Genuinely curious, not being cheeky. I see there's a season pass and a steelbook?

Have had my eye on this since it was announced before launch so 45 quid with the bit of Game credit I had is a right result.

Heat from me, thank you OP

It's worth noting that apart from some 'crates' the season pass is not great value for money. In Gears the maps are on a rotation so all of them are not always available, if you have the season pass you get new maps a week early as they rotate in, and you can play all released maps in private matches when ever you want. Otherwise, everyone gets the new maps.

After reading up on what you get in the season pass, this doesn't seem great. If there was a statue included, that would be different, I guess.

You can get one with a statue for 170 quid, if you want the ultimate edition with a statue you're looking around a two spot.

If like me and you're only really after the game in a steelbook you'll end up weighing on an apple to 30 quid for it once you've sold the season pass on here or ebay.

A bully is a great price for this edition, especially when you look at what some people are asking for it online

Game can be had for £25-30. You're essentially paying an extra £25 for a worthless 'season pass' and a tin case.

Was going to buy this until I realised the season pass is limited value. £25 deal for just the game is way better!

And when you're one of the many people who likes their games to come in a 'tin case' how do you get it for 25 to 30 quid, pray tell?

When I flog the 'worthless season pass' and end up getting nothing for it I'll eat a huge slice of humble steak n kidney and say fair play you was right.

Though that said if as I suspect I end up getting an apple to a pony or maybe even something approaching 30 quid for it I'll ask you to elaborate a bit more on what constitutes worthless in your world (_;)

Good luck, a fool an their money are easily parted.

All that faff for a worthless tin case. :p

So you're suggesting it's not worthless to a fool, which I believe we both agree are aplenty out there, so a big thank you for contradicting yourself in consecutive posts.

I shall return to my initial point that lots of people like their games in steelbooks, if they didn't they wouldn't keep churning them out would they?

Oh and finally, anyone buying this who decides on all 'that flaff' of selling the season pass code and gets say 30 quid will have ended up weighing on only an apple for the game in a 'worthless tin case' which is 5-10 quid cheaper than what you been trumpeting, better bargain than how the 'Game can be had for £25-30' in an amazing plastic case your way eh (_;)

Blah, blah, steelbook, something, something, apple..

I hope your collection of games in tin cases brings you hours of joy. I'm sure you're the envy of all your peers.

What a deal, just to think after you sold the season pass you got it for the same price as a copy in a plastic case. (_;)

It's been fun, you're delightful.

So I have an OCD for getting as many games as I can in steelbooks and make no secret of it, rather straight forward I'd suggest.

Whilst you possess an OCD for digging out those of us who prefer steelbooks, digging those people out for how they go about getting steelbooks at the cheapest possible price on a deal site of all places and even dgging out gamers who purchase DLC.

Well at least you acknowledge you find it 'fun' so you're not quite as muggy as you initially made yourself out to be, fair play and have a lovely weekend poppet.

Was surprised at last nights first foray into Versus. New game and still about 50% bots.
Lag was noticeable too often and connection kept going down due to "timed out" connection (?)
