Not my quote but does what is says

Create an unusual tabletop centrepiece, or even make your garden glow or have a romantic flickering flame in your fireplace! Freestanding, flueless, smokeless and environmentally friendly. The clear alcohol based gel burns cleanly giving a real flame that's easy to use with no mess.

saw them at a local show they sure do look good even in daylight.

So your paying for an overpriced bowl/flower pot? What's to stop you sticking the gel stuff you get seperately into a metal bowl?
#7
where and how much can u get this gel stuff
#8
I got one of these last year - they are "good" however the "gel" is VVVVery expensive, also hardly anywhere sells the gel and you normally have to go to a camping shop to get it.

The gel can costs around £2 for a SMALL tin and lasts around 4 hours which seems expensive for how long it lasts. - you can't see the flame that well and it puts a small amount of heat out and the look is ok. More or a talking point - more often around the fact you struggle to get the gel!!!

I would suggest there is better out there - i do now regret buying mine albeit it ws £4.99 at the end of summer sale

Is it possilbe to vote a flame cold?

Can you mix petrol with jelly and set it in the fridge? Probably add a bit of cinnamon too.

Are these cool to touch? Might burn a hole through my table.

Stands ready with his finger on the 999 dial!

Jelly with Petrol = Napalm, I believe there was a little fuss about using this stuff in the late 1960's in Asia, great way to get unwanted guest's to leave though!

There was an even bigger fuss about it being used in the first Gulf war against the Iraqi's.

No, the US Government saw it posted here as a hot deal, in a Boffer clearance IIRC, so snapped up all the drums.

There was a bit of an uproar as we thought that someone was buying the whole lot to flog it on ebay for a profit, and not letting us get a bargain.

I'll try and find the thread ...

Buy a Sun Jar instead if you've got kids, animals or don't want to burn your garden and house down!
