Camping days may be number for 2009, however now is the opportunity to bag cracking deals on camping gear for next season, and they don't come much better than this! I've been looking out for a double stove/grill for a while now and this is by far the cheapest I've found for a double stove/grill of this spec.

As well as being available online this deal is also available in store (as I discovered in the Plymouth store enroute to work this morning!). Next cheapest I can find for this product is £44.99 on Amazon.

Spec as follows:

Power: Stove = 2 x 2 300 Watt and Grill = 1 100 Watt
Boils in 7 minutes
Weighs only 5.8kg
Perfect for camping holidays and outdoor excursions

Good price, we are off camping again in a few weeks (although we already have one!)

Good deal, but still a bit heavy for me. No car means absolute minimum stuffs!

If minimum is what you want take a look here

http://davidlewis.ca/stove/

I actually use the Bush cooker ( I don't remember paying quite that much, although it is expensive) http://www.backpackinglight.co.uk/product398.asp

and I take the Decagon as back up http://www.backpackinglight.co.uk/product387.asp. This fits nicely inside the Bush cooker together with enough fuel for a long weekend.

It's fun to collect wood for the wood burner and is quite an education for my son. In pouring rain it is still very possible to collect wood that is suitable to burn.

Also worth considering is the Honey stove http://www.backpackinglight.co.uk/product397.asp

I would have to say that 7 minutes for the Gelert to boil is very poor indeed.

However I think I have enough cookers for the time being

There will be good deals out there (either with Mountain Warehouse or other suppliers) for more portable stoves

I know the feeling! We've got an A6 estate and our Vango Vail tent takes up half the boot space! Once the cool box, BBQ, stove has gone in its up in to the roof box with everything else! (my Wife's clothes mostly :x )

Some brilliant links there, repped :)

Lol, TBH it aint that hard. I trained at festivals, am used to travelling light. I can carry everything I need fairly easily, so the GF just carries anything for her or the kids. Admittedly now I need a bigger tent, but its still not too heavy. Usually cook on a meths stove, or if alone I use a hexi.

know the feeling. i have a c class estate, 1 wife, 1 daughter and we filled the car to bursting and the roof box for the 1st time. Roof box was handy this time and filled easily with wet and dirty clothes plus soaking tent on way home- next trip might necessitate a transit van.
Down to Fleetwood this pm to get one of these but according to my wife they were £50 down to £36 last week- see what today brings.

Funny coincidence that, I traded in the A6 for a C200 estate not 2 weeks ago. The space in the back is more sparce than the A6 too, which will make 2010 camping trips a challenging prospect :? To spin on a positive, at list it gives me more amo to challenge the Wife on her suitcase content!

Looks good but whats it powered by please?

these use butane gas cylinders, great little stove, I bought one a few months ago, you can also get a carry case/ bag that this fits in

just remember the gas regulator is not supplied with the stove, you need to buy it seperately

Who has expired this deal and why? This deal is still valid in store and online.

Could a mod please unexpire this item?
#14
Its out of stock online now, but that doesn't mean its not still available instore. Be nice if the people expiring a deal had to say why! Surely couldn't be that hard to implement?

I agree. There were still 4 in the Plymouth store when I stepped out for lunch (yes curiosity got the better of me and I had to go check ;-) )

Thanks to whoever unexpired

Went to fleetwood and one left in the shop- £69.99 down to £46.99 and when i asked-'0h yes that has been reduced to £24.99 but we haven't had time to mark it down'. Bought it there and then- we have a hose and aregulator so voted hot hot hot from me.
