I'd highly recommend this for family camping if you're starting out and don't want to spend a fortune. It's absolutely massive and has 4 sleeping pods as well as a large central area. There seems to be other good deals too on smaller tents. £4.99 delivery charge applies as does not appear to be eligible to collect in store.

Do they do a 1 man, 7 women tent?
Also, do they sell little blue pills?

I've used ours twice (once in literally torrential rain) and it was absolutely fine. Not sure how it would content if you used it every weekend but I'd recommend it if you're getting into camping

if there is 6 in your clan and u wait for the weekend weather forecast before u book anywhere this is a steal, wouldn't want to book somewhere in advance and hope it doesn't rain if I was staying in this.

saying that give it a coat of fabsil and I'm sure it will be as good as more expensive tents.

TBH I've had a 1500HH tent in the past and it lasted years, then one day the rain just came straight through. If I was paying this much I'd probably want higher, or as stated above some fabsil.

"Gelert is a British camping and outdoor clothing importer founded in Gwynedd, North Wales. Since 2013, it has been owned by Sports Direct International."

Expect variable quality and not the Gelert of old.

ANy thoughts on the brand, I was in there today and saw they sold shoes, etc. all cheaper than the normal karrimor stuff

This looks exactly like my Freedom Trail Eskdale 8 that I got from Go Outdoors, which is 15000 mm hydrostatic head as well. It was fine for the couple of years we used it for and only stopped using it as given a better Outwell, otherwise would still be using it and it never leaked.

I stayed in this through an awful night of wind and rain and it didn't leak one bit. I had to tighten some of the guide lines in the morning but other than that it was perfect. I had a porch attached to it which did leak a bit but this can be expected as it's not a fully sealed unit it is only a sheet pulled over the top of the tent. The size of it is massive with plenty of space to move around inside. I added on a porch either side of it as they were going for 60 on sports direct down from 240 this way I am able to use one for the cooking and one for sitting in in the evening when it gets cold out. I would give this tent 8.5 out of ten
