The Microsoft Xbox 360 Elite 120GB Hard Drive is a high capacity hard drive that slots straight on to the side of your Xbox 360 Elite. Expand your Xbox 360 experience with downloadable content. Save your game progress, Xbox LIVE gamer profile, game demos, and custom soundtracks from your own music collection. Play original and retro games in Xbox LIVE Arcade.

Key Features

* Fusion colour: The 120 GB Hard Drive matches the style and colour of the Xbox 360 Elite console
* Game saves: Even the most dedicated of gamers could spend a lifetime trying to fill up 120GB with game saves.
* Music: Rip CDs to the hard drive with reckless abandon and no concern for space constraints.
* Videos: Xbox LIVE Marketplace offers a wide variety of video content from gaming and movie trailers to television programs and HD movie rentals.
* Pictures: Download gamer pics and dashboard themes from Xbox LIVE Marketplace or create your own with the Xbox LIVE Vision Camera. Keep a huge assortment on hand to suit any mood and whim.
* Gaming demos: As gaming demos become deeper and more detailed with stunning HD graphics, they also take up a lot more space no longer a problem with the 120GB HDD.
* Xbox LIVE Arcade games: New games are being released weekly. Have no fear of owning them all with the massive storage option of the 120GB HDD.

Note: These are GENUINE Microsoft OEM Hard Drives with full warranty. Please note, they do not come in a retail box or with a transfer kit. (Apparently you don't need a transfer cable anymore and you can just use a compatible USB stick)

these have been posted before

are they second hand?
#2
I would think that they are 2nd hand possibly off returned Elites.

The continued high price of this thing really is a disgrace.

Although that said I got mine brand new from HMV when they were doing them for £30 last year.

I can't be bothered with this. I am going to wait until they become dirt cheap. Alright price I guess +heat.

Indeed it is insane, but I too had the pleasure of getting a brand new 120GB from HMV for £30!

360 slim (not it's official name I don't think) is being released with a new internal removable drive so I would expect plenty of these old style drives to turn up preowned when the tech nerds sell off their old stuff.

Great for me as I can upgrade my old style one on the cheap.

About the 2:40 mark.

Expect these to become really cheap, as with the advent of the 360 slim they will become obsolete and useful only to those having older consoles.
#8
These will not be 'obselete' for a long time to come.
#9
or double up your space for a few quid more....

believe this has been posted before, but even less now

+1, why do people assume that all 360 owners will "upgrade" to the new model?! Its not like it offers better graphics, I for one wont be upgrading my Elite until the 3yr RROD warranty runs out

Surprisingly many people just buy a new Xbox 360 after it gets a RROD, however I expect the 20 gig drives to be the first to be readily available, as the consoles they were bundled with are the oldest, and therefore the most likely to drop out soon :)

And your source of that is!?!?!? MS have hardly been able to keep the whole RROD quiet, its was all over the BBC website etc, anyone paying to replace it deserves to be ripped off

Mine was brand new

Those 250 gig HDs look like a great deal, but even the 120 gig ones are good value. I bought about £40 from Cex ages ago, so I reckon this is hot.

I know I won't be upgrading mine to the new system for a long time, if ever.

I have a Jasper of my own at the moment and a reserve Jasper that I bought new from someone on here in case my primary system ever gives way. My HDD is already 250GB and I don't want to use the 360 over wifi so there is no incentive for me whatsoever.

How addicted to xbox must you be, to have a reserve 360 just in case your primary system dies?

Well I don't really watch TV or anything and it can prove a lot easier and cheaper than just waiting for it to break and then trying to get a deal on one then.

I suppose thats what you call hedging your bets. Each to their own!

Well considering that a RROD replacement from MS takes 2-4weeks to come back I'd say it makes sense to have a backup system if you can get one cheaply. A base system without HDD (as you'd port your old one) is less than £100 new, IMHO its worth that just for convenience and Im no 8hr session gaming geek either before you suggest it!!
