If you take this to an expert I'm sure you'll find this to be a fake/clone. There is no way DX will sell genuine ZIPPO products.

The Lookie Lookie men will probably be flogging these at 5 euros a pop!

Take it from someone who has been buying tat from DX for years, it will be a fake/clone no matter how genuine the packaging/product looks, the inners will be more CHEAPO than ZIPPO!

It is what DX do. Their R4 & TT cards look the business but alas they are clones. That's how they keep their prices down, which is not always a bad thing

As an ex smoker I used to buy cheap fags from the guy in the pub, the sealed packaging was spot on, But once I lit that cancer stick all I could taste was saw dust and other sh*te!

The word GENUINE and DEAL EXTREME are two words that do not go together ;-)
They are good for what you pay, but make sure you only pay what they are good for.

A bit like ebay (spit) and the chinese selling 99.99 Sterling silver from Nepal, another word for melted down coke cans reformed lovingly by 3 year olds into charming keepsakes

As it's over the 18 quid mark, won't it be hit and miss whether you get stung for import/VAT fees, etc?

Never heard of anyone getting hit with fees on a DX purchase, they always declared the same price whatever I bought.

Duty and tax evasion is another sign of an above-board company. Not.

Don't forget, it's the IMPORTER who carries the can if the package is mis-declared, i.e. us, not DX.

I have a few zippo lighters now, including some collectables, when looking for details on other Zippo's on DX a while back I came accross a zippo forum and there was a statement from Zippo themselves that DX are not an authorised seller.

I have seen some really good quality fakes and some bad too, I'm 99% certain I could buy with my eyes shut, zippo's have a certain feel, the first one is the "click" of the hinge when you open it, second is there is zero play on the hinge, next is the wheel is there any give? Does the inner sit firmly? Not too tight or too loose? When the inner is out can youn flex the sides between thumb and forefinger?

Visually? Do the parts look neatly finished, all joins meet and straight?

Too expensive for a genuince neverming a fake.

If you know where I can get genuine Zippo's for less let me know, the equivalent of this would be £25-£30 as its a 3d design, the smooth "transfer" designs or plain maybe less at £16-20
