I'v been wanting to get one for ages, and decided this week to get one and I'm now stuck between this and http://www.comet.co.uk/shopcomet/product/332151/GEORGE-FOREMAN-13350/tab/specification# or a newer type one with dishwasherable plates. I've never had one before and just want it for bacon, toasted sandwiches, studenty stuff really. Any reccommendations?

From quick shufty, the Comet 1 looks better value - digi timer, larger surface area n biggest plus IMO, removable plates - I've had 1 with non-removable plates n it's a bit of a pain. Tesco 1 seems a great price tho

Thanks, I might go order it in a little bit, I can't sleep so retail therapy (even though practical stuff it may be) usually helps! I really wanted one with variable heat, but for under £25 I doubt that's going to happen! I'm looking forward to bacon sarnies, yum yum! This is probably a stupid question, but can you fry an egg on the grill?

Hungry now :?
As far as the egg frying-not recommended, for a start grills inclined (to drain the gunk off) n heats not delivered in same kinda way as a frying pan etc..
Can't sleep either n it usually ends up being expensive! :whistling:

Ah, good advice. Thanks. It's getting expensive for me tonight, just organised my brother's bday pressie and some other things. Now to toss a coin and decide which George Foreman...

Sometimes with TD, the original price is what matters, not the price paid. Not sure about for the delivery thresholds.

Don't know what td is but i was only replying to what was said in the original post which was false! Said collection instore was free! Still voted hot on price!

How does the sim card trick work?

Delivery is still coming up as £4.87 for me even after adding a sim card and it states "Free Delivery when you spend 50GBP or more"

Help?

I was only advising - nothing more. For example, say you have a £5 off £20 voucher (e.g. by getting a TD, Tesco Direct, catalogue scanned in a store), if this was originally £20, it may accept the voucher off this, even though it is now only £10 (making it £5). My thinking was this may have cost over £25 originally, possibly fooling the site into offering free delivery to a store.
