So its one of the grills that cooks your burgers and other things while, draining the fat to a separate trough at the front. Its not the absolute lowest price as that was a few months ago at around £36. It was a fairly big deal last year when Asda had it down to £40.

And seems to the lowest delivered price at the moment.

Tesco direct and Hughes via Tesco have it at £37.99 if you can click and collect, otherwise they are £40.99+.

I personally recommend the ones with the removable plates as it is trivial to soak them for a few minutes in hot water and then clean easily; even if you forget to do it promptly. They are also dishwasher safe. This means no wear and tear on the coating or accidentally drowning the electrics. I've been using one for a year and its not got a mark on the plates.

Amazon have promo prices on eight different models, but only the one I've listed has the removable plates. See Here https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/search/ref=gbps_rlm_m-8_d94e_6d50ecc3?fst=as%3Aoff&rh=n%3A11052681%2Cn%3A!3147411%2Cn%3A391784011%2Cn%3A3147441%2Cn%3A3538300031&bbn=3147441&sort=relevancerank&hidden-keywords=B01GFPWO9I|B01GFPWNJE|B00VROB1ME|B00VROB1JW|B00ABYI0J8|B0016OWJTY|B00K8S8M0E|B010FOM9MM|B01A84R0GE|B008HS4HPG|B0071QMXL0&suppress-ve=1&ie=UTF8

edit: I thought I'd mention that ASDA also have it for £40 in store (seen in Basildon).

UInfortunately this is not true, after the first couple of washes expect grey hands every time you remove the plates as the coating comes off the back - based on personal experience and other internet comments...

Its a great wee grill, but we now wash the plates in situ due to the above issue...

don't put the lid down and turn the food every now and again. problem solved.

hot. removable plates is a must IMO. so much easier than dangling the whole thing over the sink!

don't put the lid down? does that not defeat the idea of what these grills do i.e grill both sides at once.

I had the option of this at £40 or the none removable at £17..

I went for the £17 in the end, to clean it I use a sponge and water when it's hot. I only cook dry stuff on it so its easier to clean.

your right... it was only a suggestion to slow the cooking process down so this person didn't keep burning their food!
I on the other put the lid down X)

not had this issue myself, although ours never really seemed to have a coating on the back of the plates. they are silver on the back but non stick on the front.
