I have had one for years, I would use it more if the plates were removable.

But it does a good job on chicken and steak (used it for some nice medallions last night).

I lay foil over the plates for easier cleaning.

We had the great big version of this but ditched it in favour of the one with removable plates , which are even better unless you want to spend more time cleaning it than it takes to cook the food of course !

They're not too bad to clean... just turn it on for 1 minute so it warms up then I just use a damp kitchen towel to wipe it down

I had one of these, loved it until I decided I "needed" the new Tefal Opti Grill.... 5x the price mind (had vouchers burning a hole as they say) but jeez its absolutely fantastic, worth every penny if anyone was thinking of getting one!
Not knocking this grill mind...
Heat added though OP, great post x
