I can't sleep on anything other than 100% cotton.

If you use colour co-ordinated minimum 300 thread count Cotton flat sheets (along with matching fitted/bottom sheets) it doesn't really matter what the duvet cover itself is made from. By using that method you get away with not having to change the top duvet cover as often as normal because you just change those top and bottom sheets more regularly instead which means the duvet cover takes a bit longer to fade/wash out whilst at the same time adding an extra layer of protection for your actual duvet or quilt beneath that cover which naturally follows that it will also last longer in between washes/drycleaning/replacing or whatever and you still get to sleep in smooth, soft luxury linens.

Missed out again, gutted, really like this, hope it comes back in stock again soon. Thanks anyway.

I bought it instore and the single and king size are also reduced but not marked on the shelf, the king was £7.50 and the single £6.00, I had previously bought it at full price and its a great set the material is very soft and look great on

Same here, I hate sleeping under a duvet alone as I always wake uncovered. Bottom sheet with top sheet tucked in, I guess this shows my age.

The duvet set is treated as decor with the sheets changed weekly or half weekly in summer and the duvet cover every few weeks.

Good quality Egyptian cotton ages well and is very breathable.

As for duvets and pillows, I have tried every brand of microfibre, eventually they all break down, bunch up and become really uncomfortable, therefore I have gone back to feather as in my childhood. It is worth every penny investing in a good goose down set.

I've never thought of doing that, but I have Valance sheets that go over the mattress and to the floor to cover up the crap under my bed lol So then if I had a sheet under the duvet it would look messy as it couldn't be tucked under anywhere, hmmmm something to think about.
