There have been a huge number of deal threads referencing coupon "TDX-PKJK" which takes £20 off selected electrical products over £100.

That coupon expires on December 21.

Clubcard Boost (double the value of the Clubcard points as store credit, e.g. spend £5 in Clubcard vouchers to pay for £10 of products) ALSO ends on December 21.

So (assuming you have £40+ in Clubcard vouchers saved up) you have a very limited window of opportunity to combine both promotions to maximum effect.

There are 4,111 in-stock products that qualify both for the £20-off-£100 voucher AND the Clubcard Boost doubling, and you can find the full list by clicking through to the deal URL which is pre-formatted to show only qualified items.

Remember: you can add ANY combination of items that adds up to £100+ and that's the voucher code condition fulfilled.

Then you can pay all/part of the remainder in Clubcard Vouchers.

Hopefully this will help some people as I've noticed quite a few expressions of surprise in thread comments that this or that product qualified for the "double" deal. Now there's no more mystery about what does, what doesn't!

What tends to happen is I get engrossed in exploring a particular site/promotion, and if I can see several other products that look like bargains I post them in quick succession. In Tesco Direct's case, looking at the voucher + Clubcard Boost opportunity let me pick and choose quite a few interesting deals before I posted this overall summary thread.

What a strange comment. It's quite clear from the thread title I'm talking about Tesco... that happens to be the merchant this thread applies to.

Speaking of search, if anyone's having trouble using the HUKD search engine to check if something has been posted recently, you could always do the following...

1. Go to Google http://www.google.co.uk/

2. Search for
site:hotukdeals.com "stuff you want to check"
(replace "stuff you want to check" with whatever it was you wanted to check)
For example: site:hotukdeals.com bosch tassimo

3. Click on the grey "Search tools" option under the search bar (to the right of the row of options "Web" "Shopping" "Videos" "Images" "News" "More")

4. Change the "Any time" to something like "Past week" or "Past month" (that will show you only search results that have been updated in the past week, or the past month respectively

Since Google seems to index deals within minutes (HUKD is a popular site so new pages get indexed very quickly) the above is a pretty reliable alternative way of searching.

(BTW, it takes much less time to DO than it does to read this post - I tend to get a bit long-winded)

Good find, bit tricky maybe. Do you work for Tesco.

No, of course not.

All I did to set up the link:
1. Clicked on the "Save £20 on selected electrical items" graphic that's in the rotating banner on the front page of Tesco Direct
2. Checked the "in stock" checkbox in the left-hand column
3. Checked the "in Clubcard Boost" checkbox in the left-hand column

Nothing more complicated than that. No "inner knowledge" required - I found the Clubcard Boost/£20 voucher double when I was checking the details of a couple of the cheap TV details I posted earlier today. :p

Just to be even clearer...

You can spend any amount of Clubcard points (as long as it's over £5) on the purchase - the £40 figure in the thread title was to illustrate how many points it would take to pay for exactly £100 worth of products. But if for example you happen to be lucky enough to have £100 of Clubcard points, that will buy you £220 worth of goods (£20 voucher plus doubled £100 from the points)

No. If you do a search, you'll see it's not in Clubcard Boost (there's no little Clubcard graphic next to the results).

You can still use £20 voucher against ipad mini purchase, unfortunately iPads are not included in club card boost.

well done Genki

you shouldn't need to justify yourself - a bargain is a bargain to me. Whether it is the director of the company or the man on the streets that shouts about it - I don't care! As long as I get to hear about it - that is the #1 point. I am old enough and ugly enough to then make my own decisions as to whether I think it is a good deal.

So thanks for the deal. Have some heat.

Off topic but ....has nobody ever thought that another certain chain of shops could pinch Tesco's catch line for their Xmas advert

"every lidl helps" - Damn, I should be in marketing.

AAAAHA! An amazon employee eh? I've figured you out....I'll ensure the Queen hears about this!

Genki, don't worry I (and many others) have posted clubcard deals and had 'silly' comments too. The point is if you have clubcard points you can use them, plus the current double boost and the extra £20 off.

here is the link for the boost details to help people see it clearly (you can still use boost tokens in store and opticians it says) up till 24th Dec)
http://www.tesco.com/clubcard/deals/boost-at-tesco/

After getting my xobx one and games free plus a present for my daughter(using the 20% code too) I still have some spare, so may look at something else :)

heat added ;)

It amazes me how many people are suspicious of me just because I noticed you can use the checkboxes on the LHS of a page of Tesco products to refine the search! That's what those checkboxes are there for...

I love playing with the "Advanced search"-type options on ecommerce sites. You find all sorts of good stuff that way.
