No, this is an offer from O2 your iPod touch is not an O2 device
#5
How do u go about getting the free access to bt openzone & cloud??
#6
Looks good! Got my code and will have a further look tonight at home. Have Sky but not the sports. Hmm, have an iphone video out lead so that looks like a good combination!

Full details on the offer at http://shop.o2.co.uk/update/skyoffer.html - have to sign up with CC details but only have to get 1 month before cancelling. £6 a month usually but can cancel before then.
#7
This will probably be a silly question, but could use use the TV output option? If so I imagine the pixel quality would be a bit pants.

Great offer I think!
#8
Cant seem to find the app on the apple store anyone actually got it yet?
#9
I had trouble finding it but looked up 'Sky+' and found it. Downloaded and now signed up. Picture quality looks really good! And forgot about ESPN coverage too!

Only slight concern is that I entered my O2 code and went through the payment process and the site (and email) have both stated about a £6 payment (obv meant to have 3 free months...).
#10
sky+ aint it though
#11
its still not there sky+ is the remote record app
#12
Btw - my iPhone video out lead doesn't work with the app through my TV. I get the sound but not the picture (video out set to PAL, etc). Unless I'm being silly, I think the app doesn't allow output to a TV...
#13
Ah - just checked the iTunes store. Do this:

Search for 'Sky+'.
When you get the results (for the remote record app), click on the 'BSkyB' link just below the app name. You'll then get all apps by BSkyB - the new one is listed there....
#14
lol its only been posted in the last two mins then cheers
#15
Would this app work for the IPOD TOUCH, obviously not the free 3 months deal but just overall?

Cheers
#16

#18
Well mine charged me. Phoned up and they are having problems with the codes and to call back tomorrow.
#19
I have downloaded the app set up the account and is now complaining about a device limit. Has anyone else had any problems?

YEP DEVICE LIMIT HERE AS WELL, SUCKS WANTED TO WATCH LIVERPOOL AS WELL
#21
My code is invalid, rubbish
#22
Hmm, still a bit worried about the code working but looks like Sky are preparing themselves for other calls on that so should be (hopefully) easy enough.

My ESPN to watch Liddypool worked fine though.
#23
Finally manage to find the app entered the code and it told me that I would be on the promo period submitted the form which proceeded to error out and now being told my code is not valid typical sky total peace of crap. Guess at this rate I won't be one of the 150,000 in on the freebie.
#24
There is an espn app? Where and how do I get this?
#25
I've been waiting for this app for ages as vodafone, etc have had similar access to live matches for a while! This solves all my work v football clashes so well done Sky for finally bringing it to us iPhone users!

Just search for 'sky mobile tv' in the app store to find the right app
#26
Got this installed and set up yesterday. Code worked fine.
Very good quality too, Football looked better quality to me on ESPN than Sky Sports 1.

Works great with 3G Unrestrictor too!

I'm posting from an iPhone so can't do all the links and everything at the moment but you need to google where near you has Cloud access. When you are in a Cloud area go to Safari and the Cloud will ask fir your mobile number to access WiFi. After you put the number in give t a few minutes then you're off. It's mainly pubs near me with Cloud.
#28
If you have trouble finding the app search for 'BskyB', the 3 months promo is only available to the first 150,000 customers.

Used it last night to watch Liverpool game, wish I hadn't. :(

Sky site has crashed

You need Adobe flash for this and Apple in their wisdom haven't allowed this on yet. Is this for jailbroken iphones?

I use my slingbox which is fine (except for not been able to use it on 3g).

Not if you type this into safari http://iphone.tvcatchup.com/

streams perfectly via 3g for me. Sometimes it fails just try again and it goes through
#32
Got myself a code. Voted cold though as not available over 3G despite a £6 per month subscription.

It works fine on jailbroken and non-jailbroken phones.

That is Quality.. Cheers for that.

Any other tips for iPhone would be welcome.

Cheers OP, big help for us folk who live in flats where they wont let you have a dish, been waiting for this for ages. Well worth £6 a month.
#37
Surely this should be a free service for existing subscribers. I already pay Sky £50 a month and this looks to me like a simple extension to the existing Skyplayer service.
#38
Hi I've tried to sign up but it keeps saying invalid card number. I have a Maestro (formerly Switch card) It doesn't show up as an option so I chose Solo as that was there. Anyone shed any light on this?

Which also costs extra ££

Why would they give it away for free?

Be greatful you get 3 months to try it out.

Sky and free aren't comfortable words in the same sentence...
