What is Sky Mobile TV?

The Sky Mobile TV app allows you to watch Sky Sports 1,2 and 3 as well as Sky Sports News, Sky Sports Extra, Sky News, At The Races and ESPN.

The Sky Mobile TV app currently works over Wi-Fi. All our iPhone tariffs include unlimited Wi-Fi access at over 7,500 BT Openzone and The Cloud Wi-Fi hotspots in the UK (including most Starbucks). Find out your nearest Wi-Fi hotspot.

You can also use Wi-Fi at home or in your office if you have it. Take a look at how to set up Wi-Fi on your iPhone.

How do I get 3 months free?

Our first 150,000 iPhone customers exclusively get the first 3 months free access to the app. Text SKY to 2020 for your promotional code. You'll need to enter the code in the promotional code box as part of the subscription process.

Don't forget, you'll need a credit or debit card and terms and conditions apply.
How do I subscribe?

Download the Sky Mobile TV app from the Apple App store, just search for 'BSkyb Mobile TV' and follow the step by step instructions on the App.

If you are having difficulties or unable to get past some of the instructions steps, go into Settings on your iPhone, select Safari and clear your cookies & cache, make sure JavaScript is ON while in this section too.

Full ESPN?

yep

Service started well, but as more people have joined it's got really bad for crashing (normally when a decent game is on) so bear that in mind.

yep

Not sure re ESPN but there is a whole bunch of stuff on SS that does not stream due to rights Spanish Football is a no go.

Used to be brilliant, streams were in decent quality, now they have downgraded the quality significantly and the stream can be choppy for big events re footy.

i love it when they put...
" iPhone tariffs include unlimited Wi-Fi access"

They try to make it out as if they are giving you something added and you get unlimited internet via their cellular network. if your in a Wi-Fi hotspot (most homes have wireless internet these days) its free anyways, vodaphone said the same on a phone i was looking at i just laughed, they either have no clue what they are talking about or are trying to rope in unaware customers by seeming to offer something "free"
#24
you should change it to Or cancel before, not of

Thats Very True, but dont forget most of the contracts include free access to "The Cloud" and "BT Openzone" hotspots, which you wouldn't otherwise have.
#26
You dont get the full ESPN channel with this. Its more like ESPN lite. You will need to get used to seeing the screen that says 'This content is not available to mobile users'. You cant watch ESPNs Italian football coverage. Im not sure what else they dont let you have as i only watch the footie on ESPN. As i keep telling them when they phone me to get me to sign up for the normal tv espn, theres only a 1 or two matches a week, there will be less next season and the rest of the channel is pants!

awww I knew it was too good to be true :(

Got this in November. My 3 months runs out in the next few days; picture quality is great and you get ESPN as well.
#29
ESPN premier league matches work fine, thats all I care about :D

for £6 a month it is VERY good, still in my free 3 months atm, the quality is quite good considering, even on my 42" TV, streams maybe stop once a game, which isnt much of a bother, much better than streams on the internet which take 20mins to find a good one, then it gets cut off.

You also get all the pre-match banter etc.

considering your saving, what, £40+ a month on subs charges, this is fantastic.

Good deal for me, signed up and watching the man city game and its very good quality. Even better that at work we have BT Openzone so can get better speeds than 3g through that so when i'm working and theres a mid week game on i can keep an eye on it with this.
Just need to carry a charger with me as i don't think the battery will last much with this constantly running :)
#31
If your iphone is jailbroken you can download "3G Unrestrictor" from Cydia which will let you use this over 3G as well as wifi
#32
Thanks fellow Gooner now I can watch Arsenal vs Alex "the pizza" Ferguson!

Heat added!
#33
This is nowhere as good as it used to be....for example, try to watch NOW when Arsenal and Man U are playing!!...i keep getting cut off every couple of mins or so.Too many people using it now.HOWEVER, when its not such a popular sport or event happening, then the quality and stream are good.My 3 months is up in a week or two's time and am undecided whether to keep it as I already have the SKY subscription.

They are, actually - it includes Openzone and Cloud hotspots, which aren't free if you don't have one of these contracts.

i got this just watched the man utd game on my tv using iphone
its alright but sometimes u get message saying check your internet connection even tho my internet is fine
but for £6 a month to watch football on the move, at work or even on your tv with out having sky or virgin i think its a gd deal just hope they can sort out there servers
#38
Just signed up and watched Man U vs Ars...

Great deal. Great quality. However did loose connection 4 times. But even though... It's a cracking deal. Just got to get my TV Out so I can watch on a normal TV.. perhaps via an upscaler !
