I got Onyx2 on same deal last time - I use it with Chromecast Audio and really boosts the sound.

Fantastic price for a great piece of kit. But I think O2 have now removed it from the O2 Priority app

This is much cooler than the Sonos, unless you eventually want full multiroom or you're going to buy all the kit to setup surroundsound.

If you're comparing with the Sonos Play 1, please note there's quite different usage for the two...

For a start, one is portable (this one, which is rechargeable), while the Sonos isn't - it remains 'fixed' as it has to be powered by the mains at all times.

The Sonos is multiroom-capable (as SV says), while this isn't.

They also have or lack in wireless & physical connectivity options - view the link below for the main differences:

If you're still in doubt, let us know your needs, & we'll tell you the best one that suits it - or, perhaps another for a similar price.

I've got the Harmon stood below the TV on the shelf that holds the sky box etc, It's probs the nicest looking thing in the setup. And it fills the room with powerful sound, and the bass can still blast vibrations through the sofa. Also, if you're listening to music, just unplug it and walk around for 3/4 hours. It's awesome. If you're not going to ever get a Sonos for more than one room, then I'd get this one & save myself £50.

This one is a lot more versatile & flexible. Once charged, you can easily carry it around & use immediately in any room of the house, including outdoors (prevent it from getting damp or wet though), plus it has more connectivity options. On the other hand, the Sonos can be used with your internet Wi-Fi - so another thing going for it apart from multiroom.

One of the main downsides of this is that it needs to be charged & could run out of charge mid-listening session. But, on the positive side, it can be used whilst plugged-in/charging.

So, in conclusion, if your heart rules & portability/extra connectivity is not important to you - get the Sonos.

If your head & wallet rules & portability is important to you - get this.

does the sonos even have an AUX input? It's basically useless if your router keeps going on the blink. Like the old sky routers.

If you have student discount, you can move on this one if you want the price even lower.

It is the number 2, however it's still nice.

only the PLAY:5 has AUX input, but that can be used in your multi-room setup with any other sonos speakers you have.
