you don't get the hmv voucher unless you top up - this is in the t&c "Compulsory top up applies to all handsets purchased" - when this is verified they send the hmv e-voucher by email 10 days later

Would this not work?

+ your £5 quidco, I'd say it's worth getting if you have a reason to spend £20 in HMV. Can flog the phone or keep as a spare, and use the £20 credit on holiday.

I ordered a Samsung C3050, total cost was £44.00 delivered.
http://shop.orange.co.uk/shop/show/handset/samsung_c3050_in_black/detail/pay_as_you_go
That includes £20.00 of credit on Canary Tarrif (includes an extra 180 evening and
weekend free minutes when activated), a £20.00 HMV voucher, and my £5.00 quidco which is showing as tracked.

Yes we give you the voucher instore at the time of the sale! :whistling:
#24
Am I correct in saying that if you buy this instore, you get a paper voucher there and then which can ONLY be used instore at HMV,

but if you buy the phone over the phone or on the Orange website, you get an e-mail code which can ONLY be used at HMV.com ?

That's the way i understood it from my conversation with Orange, but I just wanted to make sure before I go ahead and purchase one.

Thanks.

Hmm, i just called to get my top up added, which apparently take up to 5 working days! I asked about the HMV voucher and after we had established who HMV were and that i was being serious (the guy didn't have a clue), he spoke to someone else who said i would get a text in about 5 days or so! Not very impressed so far. Will let you know if i actually get my top up and my HMV voucher.

I received my orange phone on Monday 28/9/09, which I had ordered online. After several phone calls to check when my credit would go on and where my HMV voucher is, I have been told up to 5 working days for my credit (this is day 5 and no credit yet!), and HMV voucher should be 7 working days in the post....

The order I placed stated that the credit would be applied on registration... fingers crossed it goes on soon, and that my HMV voucher arrives ;-)

It took orange 7 days to put the £20 credit onto the phone and over 3 weeks after several calls and emails to get the £20 hmv voucher.

i'm still wating for the hmv voucher. i've had no replies to my emails.
i cant face phoning them - it took ages to get the phone & credit registered :x

I telephoned again today to check on my credit and HMV voucher, held on 20mins while the lady was sorting out what I think was an email to a different dept.

Yehey, by tea time I have received my credit, 8 days after registration. Im still waiting for my HMV voucher though, and received another txt today saying the voucher would take up to 7 days to arrive, its the same text I received 8 days ago!
