i wish mine would curl nicely but it just frizzes and goes into some sort of mini-afro :x

VOTED COLD. Stay away from this product. These set my Grandma's hair on fire when she wanted to do away with her perm.

I've used mine for 5 years, even accidently left them on all day before and never had a problem with them.

£60.41 here just for the straighteners. Got to get one for my daughter for Christmas. Does anyone know if this site (GHD-Direct) are OK.

Could have been something to do with the chemicals they use for perms? They're probably flammable.

I've used them for 6 years, have carelessly burnt my face/ear/forehead many times but never set my hair on fire. And they get my hair perfectly straight in no time at all!

A good price but I would never deal with this Company again.

Ordered GHD's & then had to cancel a day later. No problem they said, we will reimburse the money paid to you., 2 months and many phone calls later still no refund & no goods, so it is now been referred to CC Company who are now dealing with it, they have reimbursed my money & are now getting in touch with Girlznight.

stay away well away

doubt it very much

Avoid! Good product but terrible Girzlnight is a terrible company. Don't respond to emails, telephone lines always busy. AVOID and buy your GHD's somewhere else
#15
Oh should have also added that you'll be lucky to get the heat matt and the other 'freebies'
#16
Thanks, the Wife's MK3's are on there way out so great timing thanks :)

£85 for hair straighteners? Damn, peoples vanity is worth a load of money. I'm in the wrong business. The people who manufacture these can see mugs when they come along. Guess that's why I'm poor.

Everyone, give me loads of money for something worth a few quid at max, please :)

If you try them in the GHD website verifier they arent known. Looks dodgy to me.

no security lock on the payment bit, put it this way I wouldn't trust that site. I got my DD's GHDs from Boots a couple of years ago, she has used them every day since.

Great price, thats one of the eldest nippers christmas pressy sorted Thank you

heat and rep given
#21
great price, had mine over 6 years and they have never let me down.. worth every penny
#22
good price, can i justify it??
#23
Seems these split a room! My other half had about five pairs of cheaper straighteners (lasted a short time, didn't work well etc) These are excellent (she says) and this is the best price I could find from an official reseller. Hopefully mine'll arrive tomorrow!
#24
you'll be lucky with the postal strike ;-)

From what a few female friends of mine tell me is that once you go over to "official" ghd's you'll never use anything else. Be careful tho, there are an awful lot of fakes out there
#25
http://www.ghds-direct.com

a major worry is that they aren't recognised by the manufacturer's website as a retailer....

and there are so many fake GHDs out there - best buy from a reputable supplier so that you know you will be getting genuine product - Girlznight are on the website

That's why this is such a good deal! This is a quality product from a recognised site.

Excellent find, just ordered mine
#28
Hot from me just ordered some for the mrs as her mk 3's have finally given up the ghost

Update: arrived exactly as per the offer, came FEDEX next day, absolutely no problems recommending this official GHD retailer

Fake according to GHD website!

invalid GHDs-Direct - Caution! Unknown retailer website.

Also same for GHD-direct.

It's true that once you've used GHDs, you don't want to go back to normal hair straighteners

voted HOT

Told my cousin to buy them since she keeps using mine :p

Read the comments above re. Girlznight isn't a great company because of bad c.service, has anyone else had a problem with them? Please share so I can warn my cousin...thanks

Of course!!! In time they pay for themselves.

Mine were £100 and i've had them for over 5 years so they work out as costing less than £20 a year, so just think how cheap each use of them works out!!

There aren't many customers services that are any good. i.e. i've just been dealing with dreadful service from memorybits, yet a lot of people i work with say they are good. Luck of the draw i guess
#33
orded for the wife's xmas pressie - thanks to the OP :-)
#34
No prob :)

 Good deal

I bought these from Girlznight a few months ago and its the cheapest deal around. I had no problems with the customer service, although these are likely to take a while due to the postal strike. I DID get freebies - a heat 'bag', and a protective spray which isn't great but hey I can't complain! I had already had several pairs of cheaper straighteners and they just aren't as good as GHDs- GHDS heat up quicker and you don't have to clamp your hair between the plates. (less damage) Hope this helps anyone considering buying them :)
#36
Thanks violetgirl - I have ordered and then read the bad experiences - gulp - got the confirmation e mail a day late so got a bit worried - they are an approved legit site though so here's hoping - daughters chrissie present :)
#37
Bottled it and cancelled this morning - reckon amazon at £7 more super saver is a stress free better choice
#38
Hi

I'd just like to say that I ordered some mini GHD straighteners from this company and they arrived with the free gifts with absolutely no problems. I would buy from them again !.
#39
Strikes me that it's a gamble
Read the reviews and the percentage was approx 50/50 whereas you would normally expect about 90/10 at least positive experiences - glad urs arrived tho :)
#40
be careful with amazon, "IF" you do have trouble with the GHD's its best to get them from a seller that GHD recognises as one of their own so to speak. In the past they desputed companies like tesco when it comes to a problem
