The condition you get stuff in is notoriously erratic from cex, instore you can check what you're getting but it really is a gamble with their online stuff.

Ive been ok myself but i tell you, i have seen **** that would turn you white.

A recent encounter my friend had.

Ordered 5 things from their website, payed by Paypal. 2 of the items were not in stock, they took the money for all the itmes and didn't send ANY of the items that were in stock, they didn't reply to any emails, they have no telephone customer service so you can't call them and my friend had to file a dispute with Paypal.

Just dont pay by paypal! Cex are pretty good on the whole, I agree they occasionally sell the unsalable, in which case just send it back! I've also had a French gamecube game delivered once which again went back.

then make sure you pay with Credit Card or paypal, they give you a 12 month warranty, and Paypal dont mess around

Same thing happened to me. I ordered 2 items which they took the money for but only dispatched one item. Won't reply to emails :x

I ordered a number of items last year but didn't send out two games from my order (They didn't take any money out for these two games)

Ended up checking their website and it seems the reason they didn't send out some wasn''t because they didn't have stock but the fact that a few items had went up in price!

Will never use again.

to counter negative opinions about their customer service, i bought an original 'crystal' green xbox from them a few months ago.

when it arrived, it had no power or AV lead, so i emailed them (or used the form thing on the website, forget the exact method) and got a reply within a couple of hours apologising and saying they'd send me the leads asap, which they did as they arrived the next day!

so yeah, it seems its either a bit hit and miss, or some people are just unlucky i guess.

I have no problems with online orders. Ok so I ordered a G-Con 2 gun £8, shows as 23 instock, but never got it as they could not get the item! but they always reply to any e-mails and always credit money back, I always use paypal.
Agree with games you do not see the condition or if they have manuals.

CEX are good but they can be a bit crap at times. Like the other day I went into my local store to buy the Rock Band Band in a box and they would not sell me it as the pick for the guitar was missing but there still advertising it as in stock on the website.

I also ordered a Guitar for my PS3 from them about a week ago. After a few days of my order staying on stage 1 of 7 I e-mailed them to ask why it was taking so long. They e-mailed me a few hours later saying sorry and my order will be despatched soon. The next day they cancelled my order as they lost the guitar :whistling:.

Anyhow good deal I might pick this up.

My first (and probably last) experience of ordering from CeX online - bought a Wii component cable which was delivered yesterday. Only problem is, they've sent me a Wii composite cable (the one that comes included with every Wii anyway).

Very unimpressed, especially when I discovered that you can't contact them by phone.. :x

My advice is just email them saying it hasn't arrived rather than going through the hassle of sending it back and getting a refund. Wait till a month from when it was dispatched.
