7% Quidco on ex VAT (£19.99) as well

***ITEM CODE: H29-20080115***

This was posted earlier this year and got terribly hot. Viking have the watches back - and have done so for a while now - at £19.99 plus VAT. Last time it also caused a huge debate over whether they were poor quality rebranded pieces of junk (and whether GFF is a good label). They may well be poor compared to Tag Heuers, but they're decent gifts and look more expensive than they are. The RRP is supposedly £300, while Scan's standard price is about £150. Scan sell them for about £50 on Today only, regularly. I think £23.49 is decent.

Buy a couple, get free del, and a DVD player to boot...
Buy 4, plus something else small, or 5, and get all sorts of extra goodies...

VIKING DIRECT SAY:
We currently have limited stock of this stunning Gianfranco Ferre (GFF) promotional watch. This beautiful timepiece has a stainless steel back, a chrome bezel and a matte black leather strap with constrasting white stitching. The face is in sharp looking, easy-to-read black with chrome detailing. It has a traditional numbered dial with the reliability of a quartz movement. It has an hour, minute and second hand in a contrasting chrome. But it's the well thought out extras that make this a truly stunning watch. These are three smaller dials on the main face; two for the highly accurate stopwatch function, and one which keeps a track of the 24hr clock. The mechanism itself is anti-magnetic and water resistance rating is 30m (This means it will be fine in the rain or with occasional splashes of water, it's not recommended to wear whilst swimming. Ln terms of looks, it's truly stylish and has all the careful, understated touches that you'd expect from Italian design.

Hi, baught this watch when last time printed here, and got dvd and audio player free,
good watch but not 100% happy with the strap, otherwise preety watch. and seem durable and strong build as well.

A couple more things - there are other codes for free stuff - try Y24 instead of Y23 on the codes available.

The previous deal was here: http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/195901/gianfranco-ferre-gff-designer-watch/

Last time they were selling them for £9.99 if you phoned up and increased your phone order by £10 (from as low as £0). I asked if they would do that this time and the one CS operator I spoke to said "no" - it may be worth a try anyway though...

Yeah - the DVD player is actually pretty good, and the stereo looks good on my desk - though sound quality is poor (better than the ones built-in to my monitor though). I haven't worn the watch yet - bought a few as gifts.

Can someone please explain how do you get all the free gifts with it ?

Oops, yes. Changed.

Oh yes. Gianfranco Ferre. One of my favourite designers.

Bought one on previous offer (same price I think), returned straight away. What a load of Sh....
'RRP'...£300 is just to make this look a bargain. Well, it tells the time, cheap watch, cheap strap, in my eyes it's not worth anything more than £20. When they say designer watch, who's GFF? I've googled it already before you lot start, a designer no one knows!
Buy it if you may wish, but don't expect much more than what you've paid for. Not so much a Bargain as it seems.

Although we take the p*ss, it has to be said that Viking Direct are renowned for supplying the highest quality 'designer' products. They are up there with both Harrods and Selfridges.

...and Argos and Beejams.

May I ask what was wrong with it? Did it break? I got 3 as gifts so I'd rather return them if they're going to break; but they look good enough and work at the moment.

I figured there would probably be a few people who got them last time and found they were ****. It ended up near 700 degrees last time - which is beyond me - the ones I bought as presents are clearly not £300/£150/£50 watches... But for the people I got them for they're ideal, and I needed a DVD player.

It was packaged in a cheap plastic box with a thin cardboard sleeve. I intended to give it to someone as a present, but I doubt anyone would know what the 'GFF' stands for, and the watch just looked too 'Cheap'. Better off getting them a box of Roses.. :-D haha.

I agree that the box looks cheap; but I don't mind the cardboard sleeve - most watches have this to protect the nice box. I think the store often removes it so it looks better. The Lorus watches I bought for the same price clearly look classier (including the boxes!) - but the gimmicky faces of these ones will suit their recipients ;-)

Thanks for the reply!

I just got one of these free with a Viking order of over £30.
OK as a freebie, but I wouldn't pay for one.

the Viking code is Q2E-PR20080115

It doesn't actually say "GianFranco Ferre" anywhere, just GFF. Only Viking are calling it GianFranco Ferre.
It's assembled in China.

The sellers listing them on eBay might run into trouble describing them as GianFranco Ferre Italian designer watches.
