Just been to home bargains in Oldham & saw these-i was going to buy some for my girls (5&6) but it said 14+ on the box???
Anyway i thought it was a great price...have done a quick google search and the average price is around £20 i did find one seller selling them at a reduced price of £6.99 plus P&P.

I have these and dont have a clue why you think these are lethal. They dont have a 9" blade on the end of them - its a plastic blunt edge.

OP this is a great price for these and we have had loads of fun with them - and have even managed to avoid killing anyone with them as well

Blunt enough not to damage a person's eye with a direct hit, would you say?

are you one of these people who buy a load of cotton wool each month - to protect your children.........................if you have any.

These darts are huge so yeah, if your gonna stand in the direction they are thrown in you might need to call 999 - but if you do what people with common sense do and stand in line with the person throwing i.e the normal common sense way, then am sure you can relax.

Who on earth is gonna stand in the direction of ANY OBJECT being thrown - a good parent would make sure their child is safe. Plus the age on this is 14+ :)

Good point, I think we should ban tennis, football, rugby as well, as we could get injured playing them. Now I think of it, the frisby is pretty dangerous too...

Hey, it was just an objective question to you wondering why anyone would think these were dangerous. Where you throw them, or stick them, is entirely your business...

I do, which is why I asked the question. Sounds like you're the one without though if your first reaction is to ridicule it

I will if you acknowledge that a giant dart hitting you in the eye, whether intentionally or unintentionally, will hurt.

and I will acknowledge that standing in front of a moving car will hurt - whether intentionally or unintentionally. As I said earlier - its all about common sense and a parent being sensible in keeping their children safe:)

BUT if you want to place your child in front of the dart whilst being thrown - then yeah its gonna hurt.

Something that every parent should consider before buying these then, and the reason why it says 14+ on the box.

Voted hot by the way.

I am simply replying to YOUR ramblings. I notice you never replied once to any of the other posters who also laughed at your original post. very strange.

You made a fool of yourself - other posters took the massive pee out of you - you are obviously either a poster with no children - or a nutter:)

ahhh... isn't it incredible how the internet brings us all together so.

You should both just stop before you embarrass yourselves further.
