Giffgaff Pop-Up Shop Now Open (Spend Your Points)

williamj1williamj1

As many of you here are Giffgaffer's, I thought I'd post about the new pop up shop. For this week only, you can spend your points on a selection of products as opposed to the normal options of charity, balance or paypal.

The products are as follows ...

- giffgaff branded hoodie (1200 points)
- giffgaff branded mini speakers (800 points)
- giffgaff branded travel mug (500 points)
- giffgaff branded iPhone cover (500 points)
- giffgaff branded soft shell jacket (3000 points)
- Nokia 1616 handset (1800 points)
- £10 Amazon voucher (1000 points)

Personally opted for the Amazon voucher, as I didn't have paypal. Seem's a really great deal. Certainly better than the rubbish I used to be "gifted" with O2.

sounds ok, but my son referred two people nearly two weeks ago, he still hasnt got any points yet, how long do they normally take to arrive.

Surely people would just convert the points they have earned back into credit?!
      benjammin316
      @splat - 5th of every month.

If you take credit then yes, that might be better. But most GiffGaff user's buy goodybags, in which case they really have no need for credit.

You can use credit to buy goodybags though..

Probably a very small amount but you mostly get them for signing up new people or helping the community. Just log into My Giffgaff and it displays points on the right >

This news really annoyed me when I received it via GiffGaff email. This definitely isn't a deal! If anything, it just shows that GiffGaff are way off track at the mo. Opening a pointless shop, when support emails go unanswered for weeks on end.

Very tempted to switch to 3 for their £15 all you can eat data, 250mins & texts. Plus, the O2 3G network is pretty rubbish.

I wish that were the case for me. It is also frustrating when trying to top up with a £10 goodybag, and they say something along the lines of 'service is not available at this time'.

If you are having a charmed time with GiffGaff, nice one. But for me, it's definitely turning into a case of the network being cheap for a reason.
