These are shockingly bad, I'm afraid.

They count coins as the wrong denomination, or in some cases don't count them at all =/

Also, you'd be spending £5 to count your shrapnel, which seems kinda counter-productive.

Cheaper than in some places I've seen, although it's £3 here if anyone is placing an order from bigoffers and needs a filler item (just another alternative)

Surely the fun is in opening it one day and counting how much you've got. Not in already knowing how much is sitting there in coins.

I have a tin that I throw £2, £1 coins in, it's started to get a healthy weight and noise when I shake it. I don't know how much there is and I won't have an idea how much when it is full. But that's that part I'm looking forward to the most.

I have one of these to put my chuppa chups lollies in. When I had lots of change I thought it was ok, it only miscounts if you don't put the money in properly. I think it's worth a fiver.

:pTotally agree ~ Just emptied £230 out of a tin from saving £2 coins from the start of December!

The bigoffers one works fine for me, has not miscounted a single item yet...I bought one 3 weeks ago and decided to put all the change I get in it that is less than a 50p piece, I allready have over £40 in it... I bought it with a load of other stuff so the postage of £4.95 did not bother me (I got over 10 boxes full of IT equipment for my business so I thought £4.99 delivery for 10 boxes through city link was not bad...)

Plus if you look at the bigoffers items on here there are codes for money off, 99p delivery etc...

Only if you are saving with nothing specific in mind - my lad is saving in one of these (£5 fom Play at christmas) for a DSi. Neither of us wants to be emptying out a standard 'piggy' bank every month or so to find out how close we are to buying one!
As long as you put the money in firmly in one movement it counts well.
