Do Amazon accept returns if your card has the dreaded coil whine?
#7
No free games either. Sorry, cold. These cards are just lower binned ones that weren't good enough to be a g1.

Get the Galax Infinity from OCUK. Free delivery and a cracking card. No bad coil whine and if there is, you'll get your money back.

Nvidia ended that promotion yesterday so there are no free games anywhere!

I second that. Got one a few weeks back and it's really very good.

I didn't expect it to be so good. I was literally speechless when I fired up Tomb Raider and heard my Corsair AF120s over it. This is an ITX case I have it in too.

Is that OCUK special version or the black?

Looking at the the 'black edition' on Amazon - cheaper post to NI too.

That and I have a £120 gift from Amazon.

I have had kfa2 cards a couple of times and always found them great.

I have the special Infinity Black Edition. It was on offer at £281.99 and after reading that the temps never went over 64 in the KitGuru review, I just had to have it. I hear the standard Black Edition is also good and KitGuru have done a review on that one too, as have Guru3D. The free games promo isn't running and I haven't seen many people complain about the GALAX cards, especially about coil whine, which seems to be a big issue with the 9xx series of cards, so if I was in your position, I'd go with the Black Edition from Amazon! :-)

Yeah -- bought it from one of those side vendors in Amazon - £275 delivered.

Not the best reviews and seem pretty new .... sooooo eek!

"was"

Yeah, 'was', so it's likely to be that price again, in which case I'd wait. The MSI 970 is a better buy than this atm, that way you actually have a chance at the silicon lottery, whereas with this card you are pretty much automatically losing it.

You can kill whine with a choke at either end of the lead.
