Cracking mouse this, bargain!
#2
any good for lefty's?
#3
As you can see in the picture, it's shaped for right-handed people. This makes it very awkward to use for lefty's, as you have to more or less twist your left hand to get it on the same angle as your right hand.

That'll teach you for being different !

800dpi and 1600dpi? Looks like they want to appeal to neither high sense nor low sense gamers.

Voted hot still, mx518 right mouse button double clicks, so will consider this for a quick replacement.

my laser mouse just broke so......

I brought that mouse about 6 months ago and it has its ups and downs.

Pros - its responsive and comfortable to hold, also it has a 'sniper' button (or what I like to call it) which it slow down the speed of the mouse to correct your aim when sniping.

Cons - the mouse wheel can stick at times and becomes very irrating, you can sometimes catch the side buttons when browsing but its only a minor inconveniace.

All in all its a good mouse and worth every penny but just expect the mouse wheel being a pain at times

I voted hot just becaouse I have a gigabite "mini" wireless mouse for my netbook and is SUPER comfortable. Way, way, way more comfortable than the more pricey logitech.
#10
I've got a couple of these, they're good, solid mice.
#11
Just a warning on this - it's pretty good, but I've had mine for almost a year now, and very occasionally, it will stop responding, and I have to unplug it and plug it back in again. It starts working again immediately, so that's fine, but it is a bit annoying!

Other than that, considering it's a 5 button mouse that (hurrah!) isn't wireless, it's a great price.

I find it interesting that nobody commented on the single greatest flaw regarding this mouse.
Whenever you hold both the left and right buttons down for 4 seconds, the mouse switches from 1600 to 800dpi. This is very annoying for most FPS's and RPGs such as WoW.
Avoid this mouse if possible; I have one and I know what a pain it is!

Good mouse, for general use anyways, not tried many games with it, the only game I did try back when I used to play it was World of Warcraft and the mouse was EXTREMELY annoying to the point were I wanted to stop playing...

What it did was always switch between DPI settings, I had it on high to play the game with and randomly it would switch back to 800DPI and when this happens you will know about it, was horrible to play, hard to click skills when cursor moves that slow.

Other than that it is great, very comfortable in my hand, back and forward buttons are great when browsing.

Oh is that one cause of it, didn't know that ! that must of been what was happening to me, I tried to contact the company who make it but they didn't seem to understand my problem so I give up in the end.

I bought one of these a some time ago at about £10 and was initially a very good mouse for the price for gaming.
Until it just kept dieing every so often and I had to keep unplugging it and plugging back in again until it just gave up for good. This was inside the 12 month period (just) but Play.com would not change it because the warranty counted from when it was posted and not from when I actually received it!
I phoned Gigabyte who pretended to be shocked by Play not changing it and promised to look into it and get back to me, obviously they didnt.
Was no point in even wasting any more of my time for £10, I'm not saying they are all like this but in my case that is what happened. I'm sure they will mostly last longer than 12 months hopefully but maybe just the build quality wont take to much hard gaming?

I've got this as well, and agree with the comments that it's mostly very good, especially for the price. But similarly to one or two people above, the scroll wheel has started to stick and/or be very tough to move (and I've not had it that long, although I do use it a lot). I think it's because, for whatever reason, the mouse picks up dirt very easily both inside and outside which inevitably leads to the sticking. And unscrewing or dismantling the mouse to try and clean inside it is essentially impossible.

Otherwise, pretty impressive for a tenner, considering the hideous amounts you can pay for a mouse these days.

Had mine for several months now.. Zero problems with the scroll wheel, all buttons still give a positive feeling and satisifying click when pressed. Only minor issue would be the rubber padding has started to peel away on the lefthand side. Me picking it at when I'm bored probably doesnt help.

I also own an MX518, G5, Deathadder and a Habu. This is my prefered mouse for day to day use and gaming tbh.

I can't replicate that with mine. maybe yours is ******ed? The DPI button does sit between the left/right buttons, so is it catching or something?

if you want a cheaper alternative try the logitech rx250 - VERY happy with mine and was seriously considering this until i read the bad reports

rx250 only about £7 at scan

Ohhh, this is also what mine has started doing the past few days, I have only had the mouse a few months maybe, definately less than half a year. I thought my comptuer was just been weird, didn't know whether the mouse was dodgy or not but like you said I have to unplug it and plug it back in for it to work again, very annoying when it happens...you think it's going to break when it does this?

Maybe I should get in touch with play to send me another, or maybe not, there customer service online is so bad, took them 4 emails just to cancel my order before as they were ignoring me!

Maybe I will just leave it, don't think I can be assed with them and it was only a tenner.

anyone got one?

weird question but how long is the cable?

:? that's about £200 worth of mice you have there. What the hell are you doing?
#24
Might mouse !
#25
Just nabbed one of these for my bro who's never owned a gaming mouse before. The reviews on Play seem overwhelmingly positive.
#26
Gone for it! Couldnt find the receipt for my medion laser mouse that just broke so what the hell.
#27
Anyone else with this mouse find that the left button requires more pressure to click than is desirable in a gaming context?
