Another great value card here-as the Gigabyte cards get great reviews (for starters please check out the reviews at Ebuyer!!) but for 144.99 and with a FREE game this has got to be one of the best cost performance cards on the market!
Can they really get much cheaper is the question i ask myself?

In addition, WINDFORCE 2X is equipped with 2 copper heat-pipes which strengthen the speed of heat dissipation.

Ultra Durable VGA board reduces voltage ripples in normal and transient state, thus effectively lowers noises and ensures higher overclocking capability. GIGABYTE Ultra Durable VGA graphic accelerators improve overclocking capability by 10% to 30%.

Useful comment i am sure but what you are saying is that this is the cheapest out there i.e Dabs is more expensive than this card from Ebuyer (and without the game which will cost anywhere from £18 to £28 at Tesco )?
Imagine you did want the game anyway that would make the cost of the card £122!! Crazy value i think. Gigabytes GTX 460s get great reviews across the board.

no what i said was the next cheapest i could find was £145 after a very quick search meaning the deal isn't that hot compared to other retailers. personally i am not too bothered about the game.

ok so it's a whole £10 more at scan with the game.

also there are alternative 1gb 460s a bit cheaper (and yes they come with hawx 2)

The Gigabyte branded is probably the best of the bunch, and has the potential to be overclocked while still running cool and quiet.

This site is about hot deals mate and 10 quid is quite a saving for the exact same product-priced here at £139.99 and whatever it is at scan.
As demonite points out the Gigabyte brand is probably the best of the lot so this alternative you speak of is made by which brand? And how much cheaper is it exactly.

sorry but a £10 saving on a £140 item does not a hot deal make. this isn't slightlycheaperthansomewhereelse.com.

i posted an evga 460 a couple of weeks ago for this price, easily a "better make" than gigabyte. palit card for £130

i'm full of what? sorry, i just think this is about the going rate for this type of card, not £30 cheaper than elsewhere as someone said, which is why i posted in the first place. you don't need to take it so personally.

the palit card does include hawx2 and you can get free (next day) delivery by signing up to avforums.

Nothing special in terms of a deal. Warm. Not voted. As above, £140 is roughly the going rate for a 1GB GTX 460.

ps. H.A.W.X. 2 is bloody awful!

Totally agree, this gets hot and a earlier post of a 5870 for £199 doesn't, go figure the 5870 was a much better bargain as that's a £300+ card and scan are doing the XFX AVP version for £212. This is around the going price for the 460 now so not really special.

£5.59 min. carriage for me :-(

This seems like a great deal to me. I bought one of these 3 months ago for £178, and that was the cheapest I could find it for at the time.
#15
am waiting, hopefully the 470's are going to drop right down to this kinda price.

No that shouldn't be the case. Please pick the "Within 5 Working Days (FREE)" at checkout. With this snow it is not worth picking the next day delivery :)

Plus i notice Ebuyer usually ship it pretty quickly so you would normally get it within 5 days. Unless you are in NI ?

TH3R4POR for you and anyone else stuck I think you should try the following if you have not already:

1. Once you get your voucher goto-
http://shop.ubi.com/store/ubiemea/en_GB/pd/productID.189544500/HAWX2_PCDownload.html

2. Click the big blue 'buy' button at the right (ignore the price displayed it wont be there in a minute)

3. On the next page which is your shopping basket page enter your promotional code (on the voucher you received) in the 'promo code box' and it will take off all the costs and make it free.

4. After you've gone through and purchased it (it will sign you up for mailing with them, that's the catch) you will receive a link to download the game and a serial code to use. All this is also emailed to your email address. It's about 6gb big but downloads in stages with their 'download manager program' so I don't think you need to get it all in one go if you don't want too.

This is an exceptional card. I have a couple of these in SLI and they work really well.

You can overclock these cards to 800MHz easily and in some cases even up to 850MHz at default voltages! Most importantly the cards stay relatively cool and quiet under full load, an essential feature if you have 2 running side by side! The build quality of these cards is very good as well in comparison to the likes of Palit and Gainward which are atrocious.

Then my Devin "Da Primrose"Shockwell vote it up and let everyone you know who is looking for a great card ...i still think these are great cost/performance cards which remind me of those great tusty 8800GT cards a few years ago :) Many of which are still doing a good job nowadays.

Quite a departure from my old 8800 GTS with a whole 320MB of video memory X)

Although it is a BFG, might be collectible these days!

I think i'm going to wait for the 470 gtx to come down in price. The Gigabyte 470 gtx is very impressive on all levels from power consumption to performance.

I actually bought this yesterday for 139, looks like it's gone up £10.

Also isn't this the exact card review:

Isn't this a better buy @ £123.38

http://www.ebuyer.com/product/232974

Already OCed and includes postage?

That's the 768MB version, there are some other differences too. Check the last page of my link, but yeah for the price it's still good.

Plus if we sort it by price http://www.ebuyer.com/search?sq=460+gtx&q=460&sort=pricelow&limit=10&page=1&subsearch=Go
I didn't realise there were so many versions.
