Just gone down in price today, cheapest ever for this card according to camelcamel, and still a very decent card for this price. Great cooler.

Have Verified that this is the Windforce OC edition.

Me: Wallet?
Wallet: Yes?
Me: If you see my hand going for the credit card again....
Wallet: Look buddy, I'm a wallet I'm just doing my job
Me: Yeah but I'm going to be broke and then you're going to be p*** stained and rancid
Wallet: I'll see what I can do, but I think I'm going to have to get used to the smell of p***.

Very good price, competes well with r9 270

Ah bugge r. I nearly bought this exact card the other day, and was proud I'd managed to talk sense into myself because I don't really need it. My old 460 works fine and I don't play games very much.

But now... arrrhhh

Great price! shame I purchased a GTX750TI EVGA April for £105 :( from ebuyer

Ordered.

Very good price for a capable gpu. Heated.

For those wondering, based on the current games released so far, the GTX 660 series are actually slightly more powerful than the PS4.

I got an EVGA GTX 660 SC early last year and so far haven't seen a need to upgrade my PS3 yet other than for a few exclusives.

Also handy to know is the SteamOS's benchmark starting gpu is unofficially the GTX 660 so that should offer a little future-proofing.

Hope this is helpful to someone!

got an MSI gtx 660 for 130 back in October. 100% would recommend. able to play pretty much anything in 1080 with very good frame rate.

Wondering if anyone knows if:

1) this is a good upgrade to a 560?
2) it supports 3 monitors?
3) it's very noisy?

Its an Ok upgrade from 560 but you might struggle to really see the different.
You can run 3 monitors off the one card, however you won't be able to run nvidia surround/games across all 3 screens. You need to SLI.

I had 2 of these cards, 1 at first and then 2. The wind force fans do a good job on keeping it cool, but at ever so slightly on the loud side.

That being said, You won't here them over a stock CPU Fan or Poor PSU.

Heat Added. Good Low-Mid end card for good price.

I've got one of these already brought it last year, can run alot of games with decent settings. I'm thinking about purchasing another for SLi but not sure.

Not sure if its going to be worth it or even noticeable.

@edit
usually with amazon orders you don't get the games that come included in the bundle.

Thanks, my plan is to have a monitor for gaming, another for browsing and another for watching videos (yes all at same time. don't ask :D ). My 560 doesn't support this and I'm not sure I'd need the extra (almost double) investment for a 760.

Surely a 750 ti would make more sense for the same price?

660 is faster though

Mine arrived today but there's a tiny problem in that the computer won't boot with it.

I get the motherboard logo and it freezes, can't enter bios...

In purely gaming terms it would make no sense at all as the 660 is the quicker card by some margin. If you want to save a couple of quid a year in electricity get the 750ti.

Try putting your old card back in and re-setting your bios to safe defaults and see if that helps. Make sure the 6pin power lead is firmly attached.

Thanks toaster, I just found out the problem thanks to this thread http://forum.giga-byte.co.uk/index.php?topic=13046.0

"Put in your old card to get to bios. Change PCI ROM setting from EFI ROM to Legacy ROM. Reinstall new card and it should work."

And it works great now :) Thought I had a faulty card!

Happy with this. Did loads of benchmarks with the old Gigabyte 460 1GB SOC to compare with this new one, results vary wildly, from zero difference in GTA4 to 75% fps increase in Grid Autosport. An average increase would probably be around 50%. Around what I expected I suppose.

The doubling of video ram means I can finally max out GTA4 (think it was about 1.3GB when everything is on full). Probably won't be enough when GTA5 comes out but it'll do.

Unexpected bonus is the power/heat/loudness. Can hardly hear the fans compared to the old Gigabyte, both because they're larger so don't need to move as much, and because the GPU doesn't get nearly as hot. Also the card only takes 1 x 6-pin connector, old one took 2, so I guess this means it uses less juice?

Do you get the watch dogs game with this ?

Everything I've read says you can do Surround with a single card with the 660.

Wonder if this is a sign 800 series is nearing release and clearing old inventory to make room for price drop of 700 series.
