Some odd members of the casts - Frankie Howerd & Vincent Price, it's certainly no D'Oyly Carte, but incredible price! :-)
I seem to remember seeing a Mikado with William Conrad doing a very poor Emperor of Japan, so as he is listed, I wonder if it is from the same production!

They are DVDs of the filmed versions, although maybe not the greatest productions of them ever done!

For some reason when I put this in my basket it still shows up as £99. Is that happening for anyone else?
#5
Unexpired, thanks for the report.

HOT price :)

Hot!!

Nice find :)

Nothing would fill me with dread more than a Gilbert and Sullivan box set. They were the Victorian equivalent of "Black Lace".

Awesome find, though apart from 'Clare' and 'Get Down' I fail to see how he can fill 11 DVD's.

Tell me about it ;-).

That's a present for my parents sorted (who dragged me to so many productions that there are some deep psychological scars that have there origins in Pirates of Penzance).

I am the very model of a modern Major-General,
I've information vegetable, animal, and mineral,
I know the kings of England, and I quote the fights historical
From Marathon to Waterloo, in order categorical;
I'm very well acquainted, too, with matters mathematical,
I understand equations, both the simple and quadratical,
About binomial theorem I'm teeming with a lot o' news,
With many cheerful facts about the square of the hypotenuse...

Exactly.

I never understand why nearly all forums are full of "I don't like this/You are an idiot if you like this".

So what?

People like different things. Thank god.

I like mixing a touch of high-brow with my tabloid rubbish.

Yes, some of my favourite smart people are total idiots! :prop:

In the words of Homer J Simpson "Just because I don't care doesn't mean I don't understand...If something’s hard to do, then it’s not worth doing".

Me too.

I am equally happy seeing an opera at the ENO or watching a Carry on fim.

BTW, G&S must be an exact cross between the two!
