I recently switched to traditional shaving using an Edwin Jagger double edge razor, shaving brush and shaving soaps and creams. I wouldn't put a cartridge razor near my face now if they give them away for free! Such a better experience the traditional way. Excellent deal though considering the usual prices for a packet of 4 blades that cost Gillette 28p to manufacture. Heat added!

They also have the vibrating version for £1 more.

Why anyone would want a vibrating razor is beyond me though!

totally agree about the cost of these things. People are just drawn in by the ads.

How easy is it to shave with a traditional razor like yours? Or more to the point, how easy is it to cut yourself!

I use a 5 blade cartidge type, but stopped using any sort of lubrication on it years ago. So I just shave with water, and once you've done it for a few days, its fine. As a result I seem to change the blade head a lot less too, maybe once every 3 months.

Every 3 Months! Are you 14 years of age?

I hate buying these blades but have not found anything close.
