As I don't have a TV (much prefer the radio and and internet :) ) I generally end up watching DVDs of various things that we've seen in people's houses - this is one that always tickled me :)

I'm the same Dio, I don't pay for a license as I'm mostly on the net, I just use the TV for DVDs and movies.

Yes, you are allowed. I cannot remember the exact wording, but the telecommunications act says you don't need a license if you are not receiving any television signal. Believe me, it's true. I have letters from them to proove it. They always say they are sending someone out to check, but they have never done so.
