they arnt too bad if you oven cook them first, but eating them cold just leaves a layer of fat on the roof of my mouth :/

That is no Cornish Pasty, these are more like a Devon Pasty and taste disgusting!

For those of us that like Ginsters, 75p is a deal. What is this? Pasty Judgement Day?

HEAT OP.

Ginsters are one of the better pasties, the ones that are really horrible are Peter's and Lidl the meat in them looks and tastes like pre-chewed sludge

I don't have a packet right this moment but they appear to be full-size, yes, otherwise I would have said :p

Been in dozens of Poundland stores here in London never seen any "Ginsters" products in any of them. Most of them in their small chilled units only have the soft drinks and sandwiches plus a couple of packets of snadwich fillers.

I'm lucky that where I live (Glasgow), I have four within walking distance. I'll try and take a picture of them in the chiller cabinet next time I'm in. They definitely sell them as I've bought them numerous times.

Also, I'm not getting my -land and -world stores mixed up as I update both MSE threads quite regularly :p

As promised, the picture I mentioned from Poundland. This is the Argyle Street, Glasgow store around 8pm tonight - which often has the twin pack of Ginsters Cornish Pasties - alas, only Steak Bakes left.

The Union Street store often has them as well so will try tomorrow if I can.

so they are smaller then, or the pack weight should be 454g for the 2 pasties (2x 227g)

They appear to be full size when I open the packet. As I've bought both single and twin packs before. Unfortunately I didn't buy any yesterday.

If it really bothers you, I'll buy a pack from Tesco and the twin pack from Poundland and take pictures of those.

I'm genuinely curious as I often buy things from Poundland (and I'm on Hotukdeals, of course - I want the most for my money).

Okay, I'll admit defeat. Turns out these pasties ARE smaller. The cheeky thing is, it's the same illustration Ginsters/Poundland use on both packets and no indication that they are smaller - well, apart from the weight.

My defence is I've never opened these two packets side by side and I assumed I was getting a full-size pasty!

You see it when you photograph them together....

Also, the calories per pasty is different (of course)....

these single ones from Tesco = 303g per £
the smaller ones from Poundand = 260g per £
looking at the pic it looks like the Poundland ones have a higher pastry % as well :/
