Gamestop in Stockport are selling GioTeck realtriggers for £1.29 - they're clip on plastic bits that give the PS3 controller the feel of the PS2 controller. Gamestop also have a store in Birmingham, which I'd assume is selling them at the same price - not sure about their stores in Ireland.

£2.97 in Currys/PC World.
#6
OP, buy afew and post them in deal/trade plz i will buy aset from you :) lol
#7
I bought these and took um off. I prefer it without them on. Each to their own but my figures don't slip off and the way I use the controller makes these awkward to use comfortably as they get in the way for me.
#8
seriously can't reccomend these enough, currently I only have one though, my left one flew off behind the cupboard somewhere!
#9
What the hell is a Gamestop??

I have two sets of these real triggers, they are a must buy. I'd buy two more for that price if I could.

It's a US game chain that now has stores in the UK and Ireland, far more in Ireland than in the UK.

Try playing a fighting game with an xbox pad!

I cant stand xbox pads anymore, much prefer a ps3 pad as it is, even without those triggers
#12
If these are the ones with the grey square in the middle they normally crack at the bottom, if its the solid ones its good deal, normally in HMV around £3.99
#13
these trigers are no good imo i had 2 sets and they kept coming off and eventually broke where they clip on but they where usefull why they worked

One of the reasons i dont use my ps3 much is because of the bad design of the pads, where can i get hold of the xbox looking one's? imo the xbox pad is almost perfect, even better one coming out soon so i hear!!
#16
i have never had any issues whatsoever with the ps3 pad, i always am curious why people buy these things as not once have my fingers slipped. However i must acknowledge that being that so many people swear by them then there is some sort of need lol.

Always makes me lol when i hear people say their hands always slip or something. They must have slimey fish hands.
Easily the best controller out there and that's why it's been unchanged for 3 generations.

hey where can i buy that from? I may get a PS3 if that us available to buy now, beats the crappy PS3 controller by a country mile. Looks just like the xbox one, but the xbox guys are getting a third party prototype controller aswell soon which looks the bees knees.
#19
These things break easily, you get too harsh on the trigger trying to go faster on that final few hundred yards, I managed to crack it, and if you drop the controller the triggers are first thing to touch the ground.
#20
I have a set of these triggers & they do help.
I would of thought Sony would learn by it's mistakes with their controller but no, the same poor design for 3 generations now, why dont they listen to the to the feedback & at least angle the triggers outward & put a dip in the analouge sticks instead of the being rounded so your thumbs slip, an easy advancement to make surley? In the meantime i want one of them xbox360 type pads but cant find one!! :o/

I have these and think they are great for racing games such as burnout paradise. Holding down the trigger for accelerate was uncomfortable for extended periods, but these made the angle much better. The only issue I have is you have to put down the pad on the table after playing a bit carefully otherwise these triggers can fly off.
£1.29 is an excellent price, heat!

Finger's slipping off the buttons? Seriously?!
How have I managed all this time without them?
Are you guy's the same guys that complained that the square NES controller dug into your hands..?

The USB dongle is just for charging.

No, like the third party keyboards you need a wireless transmitter, so the USB dongle will be for connection.

voted cold as these are the newer edition of these and they are flawed, they crack very soon after a little use and keep falling off.

ive had a pair of the original version since they 1st came out and they are still fully intact.

if your buying triggers and theyre black with a grey box on em then avoid,if theyre all completely grey get them ones.
#31
I have a set of the triggers and really don't see any benefit, the controller is far too small and these add ons seem to be out of reach.
That new one posted above looks much better :)
I have a xbox controller for my PC, much better design. Dunno what they were thinking when they designed the PS3 controller.

I dunno what Sony were thinking when they redesigned those godawful back triggers on the PS3 controller, not only is the ergonomics of them dreadful, so is the weedy spring that provides the resistance.....terrible.

Not everyone thinks everything about the PS3 is perfect like you, my hands personally don't slip off the triggers, but I find the ergonomics and resistance better with these enhancements.

The controller has changed...hence why a lot of people don't like L2 and R2, they obviously decided to copy the competition by adding resistive triggers on their controller, something they had not incorporated before, and made one hell of a bad design with it.

If you are serious about fighting games, you would not be using either a 360 pad or a PS3 pad for playing them!, I do however find the D Pad on the 360 terrible.
#36
Looks like the PS3 controllers were designed with children with small hands in mind where as the xbox controller is more man size. I find I have to hold on to the sony controller rather than let it sit in my hands.
In my experience after market controllers are poorly made but the one above looks good so if it becomes available in the UK and the reviews are good then I will buy one
#37
I just wish they made small 360 controllers. My kid is 5 and she struggles with it. :(

I don't particularly have large sized hands as a guy, and yet find the 360 controller more comfortable to hold than the PS3 one, just tried the Fifa 11 demo last night on the PS3, and tried without these gioteck triggers and found defending just awful holding down L2 to face mark attackers.

I prefer the PS3 controller to the 360 one. 360 one feels so wrong.
