I bought a similar pack (USB hub instead of charging cable). I only still use the Triggers (which are smashin') now though.

A good price for those new to the PS3 though. I shall add some heat.

BTW - this is anecdotal, but the HDMI had a weird effect on my TV. I used it to connect my PS3 to my (Panny) Plasma, but when I tried to switch back to my external Freeview box (connected via SCART) whilst the PS3 was on, I only got the Freeview interface (GUI) - not the programmes! It was weird. I switched back to my original HDMI cable and the problem went away. Couldn't figure it out - I assume it was a dodgy connection in the cable. :?

Was this added recently?

Looks like a good deal, though the HDMI cable problem Artie is having is putting me off. Can anyone confirm the problem?
#3
I think it was just me  I have since used the 'dodgy' cable to connect my bedroom TV (Philips) to a samsung DVD player (which came with the HDMI cable I'm using downstairs) and I've had no problems with it (and I use the same model of Freeview box there too, a Sony).

When it went wrong on the lounge set up I did try different combinations so the issue was certainly there (on my system - I can't say it was just the cable).

At this price I wouldn't worry about it too much. But, TBH, if you don't need the charging cable, the trigger wotsits are only £2.99... :whistling: I'd get those, then wait for another bargin HDMI cable from Amazon. Not to take anything away form this deal, which is great.

if u want triggers get an xbox 360

I used to use these triggers before getting an XCM adaptor and they tend to catch and pinch the skin on your fingers when pressed fully in. Grrr......

Good idea, spend £150+ instead of £2.99...

I'm now on my 3rd set of triggers. They seem to get cracks in them, as soon as there is a crack they fall off with a little pressure. Shame cos theyre awesome.

Nice Find! Thank You!

They're meant to keep your fingers in place so you can use the triggers more frequently without worrying about slipping off.

Don't know how well they work though, never used them.

Oh and out of stock.

Does this actually include a charge cable as well? Product title states so but according to the description it is only the triggers & an HDMI cable.

I was going to buy this set until I checked the contents on four other sites and none claim to include a 'Charge Cable'.

Also, the reviews for the cable from two users on Amazon advise to stay well clear.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Gioteck-1080p-HDMI-Cable/dp/B001GM30GW/ref=sr_1_12?ie=UTF8&s=miscellaneous&qid=1271766747&sr=8-12

Has anybody else used this cable and if so is it any good as this is a good offer, even without the Charge Cable.

i found the triggers overly sensitive, so removed them :s

When I had my PS3 I purchased a similar Giotek set which came with the HDMI cable, 4 port USB extender and the triggers.

The HDMI cable worked fine, however when it came to dismantling my PS3 ie unplugging all wires and accessories - it broke...well basically the coating came off. Tried to put it back together again and failed miserably.

£2.99 delivered on Amazon. Might be able to get them slightly cheaper elsewhere - not looked around.

To anyone wondering about whether to get the triggers or not...I would highly recommend them. I got mine over a year ago and they still work fine (and I use my PS3 for at least a couple of hours pretty much every day). Whenever I pick up a controller without them it just feels wrong now. Definitely worth the money in my opinion. And for £3 it's hardly the end of the world if you don't like them.

The triggers are great, I'd heard about them before I bought my PS3. When I got PS3 I bought a pair for one of my controllers, then used one with and one without for a couple of weeks. It makes a huge difference. Now both my controllers have a pair.

Totally agree, controller doesn't seem right with out them now.

I also have triggers on my controllers :) Epic.
#31
i also love the triggers.

had a set since i got my 1st ps3 about 2 years ago.

word of advice tho dont buy the new edition ones (black with popout grey square with number on it) as they crack right down the middle and thats them gubbed, its a major fault.

not to worry though both the old and new versions can be bought in game, just make sure you get the old version which are all greay with the numbers on and no popout box or giotek engraved on em.
#32
the triggers fall off everytime you drop the controller or set them or a table.

Yeah they sometimes ping off if you drop controllers, but your have to thump it on the table to get them off :-D

Thats a really silly Idea 'cos you can't use "both" Yourself ;-);-)

I love the triggers, though have also nipped my finger, but they mean I can hold the controller in a much more comfortable position, and still use the triggers.... I find the controller too narrow and parrallel in alignment without....

Hard to explain, but suffice to say they are a cool addition:thumbsup:

I have the same problem, called Play yesterday to complain. They said they don't sell the charge cable separately.

They sent me a returns number, asked me to send it back to them and they would sent out a replacement (with the charge cable) and refund my postage to my card.

I am sending it back today, will update you if I get my replacement and postage refund.
