    Nice find. £8 in HMV.
Only seen the original, is this worth watching?

    It's excellent

Not worth 50p, shockingly poor compared to the original, it's the usual Hollywood hatchet job including leaving out important parts of the plot and then changing the story to try and cover up what they've done but just ending up with bigger holes than they started with, Vanilla Sky anyone. The action scenes that are where Hollywood usually spends it's money are no better. They even changed the emphasis on the characters so the 'girl' becomes a light weight supporting role to Daniel Craig whereas the whole point of the trilogy is her story.

Even if you're not keen on subtitles and actually liked this rubbish, do yourselves a favour and get the original.

Incorrect, this version was more loyal to the novel than the swedish one.

    Always is, in my view.

...couldn't care less about the novel, fact is the Swedish version is absolutely brilliant and this is not! It may be that it suffers if you've seen the original (...understandable really), but I found the whole thing very lacking in all departments. Maybe the follow ups will be better as I thought the Swedish ones were not as good as Tattoo!

I enjoyed the first book which was a good old who done it, but the 2nd n 3rd book was about Swedish Law.....zzzzzzzz

The original Swedish version was stunning and the female actress should've won a lot of awards but the fact that it was in a foreign language meant it wasn't attractive to all the dumb illiterate American folk because most of them cant read subtitles. Wouldn't be a surprise if we British people had the same problem with our tiny televisions back then but now that you all most likely have bigger TVs, watch the original before you watch this. The actress in this remake put me off as much as I like Daniel Craig, and instead I watched a Bond movie.
