  Anyone know if this is the remastered or first press edition?
  The Remastered is supposed to have far better PQ.

  Would have ordered but as mentioned above expected delivery within a month, even when zavvi have stuff in stock it takes a while so a month will take forever

  They're (Universal) replacing the old version for the new remastered version for anyone who wants one in America and Australia, so I'd assume they're doing it in the UK as well, you mail them the old disc and they send you out the new one.

  All stock now should be the new (better) version. Would be surprised if any retailers still have the older version. I ordered my copy from Play.com in December and received the new version.

  The boxes of the original and remastered releases are identical but there is a way to tell from the small print, see this pic at Amazon and its annotation.
  
  Basically original release 2009, remastered 2010 and remastered has additional symbol (pocket BLU).

  It does appear slightly blurrier, but other images are a much better comparison. Especially up-close face-shots.

  I had the first print and believe me it is SHOCKING. In the fight scene in Germania there were arrows vanishing, halos around peoples heads etc. There was so much DNR used it was unwatchable. I sent the disc away and got the 2nd print back two weeks later and it is VASTLY improved.

  Picked up a copy from cex before which has the new date on the back of the box but need to check the disc to make sure it's the new one in case they have had old discs their
  
  Hopefully it's noticeable when watching then get a replacement sorted if it's the old one
