Amazon price matching Play. Latest reviews suggest it is the newer version and if it's not Amazon are generally better for returns.

But no quidco?

My main gripe with Play these days is their dispatch and delivery times. I've now been waiting 2 weeks for a boxset! And pre-orders are terrible...I remember when you used to get things on the day of release....ah, those were the days!

Amazon every time. Play will (if in a case of a fault with the item) try to make you go thro the maker of the item you bought after 28 days and the manufacturer will tell you go back to play...

Although i agree Play dont seem particularly quick these days, you'll probably find that the 2 week wait is down to the huge backlog of Royal Mail post, they've got 10's of millions of post stuck everywhere which they've already been fined on, so are simply making sure the new stuff is being delivered (so they dont get fined on that also), the older stuff they can now sit on for as long as they like.

Preorders for anything other than games is crap across the board, Amazon are just as bad in my experience, worse infact since they dont deliver games on preorder date either (and the feedback i gave them on it, they simply fobbed me off with "you have to wait 3-5 days delivery")

The remastered version is dated 2010 on the back and also has the 'pocket Blu' logo.

The original poor transfer version doesn't.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for making me spend more money! Been waiting for this to drop in price for ages.

Essential film. dont know whether the quality upgrade is worth it.

Play = COLD
Amazon = HOT

Play are really shooting themselves in the foot with their rubbish delivery times.
People are deserting them in droves

2 weeks! I should be so lucky. Have been waiting 2 months for an order which was supposed to be 4-5 days.

+1. I am unsure too - I've got the DVD, and going by what Gixerman100 has said above I am assuming this isn't the remaster (Gixxmaster says the 2010 version is the remaster, the Amazon product description says this is 2009)

There was a big thread on this over on the avforums, I'm pretty sure Amazon have been selling the remaster for a couple of months now.
I'd be very surprised if they were not.
There have certainly been lots of people posting on the avforums thread on this film saying they are getting remastered copies.

One guy, Moonda, (last comment dated 18th Nov) said he had contacted Amazon & they confirmed it would be the remaster.
