This is one of the best blu-rays ive watched!
Been abit of a blu-ray freak with all the last few deals and got 15 now and this is the best!
Unfortunately i paid £15 for this alone 2 weeks ago from play so this is a cracking offer.

Quite fancy green mile aswell

EDIT: sorry mines the limited edition copy.

Lol sorry should of said, saw that in store - guess selection in most stores is pretty good, in Hove down here they only had gladiator in it and only one left anyway!

i watched it a couple of weeks ago and it looked really good. the bad reviews come from proper harcore blu-ray geeks who expect nothing but perfection. it probably could look better, but i still thought it looked brilliant... and the sound is fantastic.

I agree with yubious. I watched it a few weeks ago and the quality looked very good to me, nice and clear, with the sound being top notch.

Don't listen to the over critical blu-ray geeks and buy this now!!

Watched the Gladiator BluRay version when I rented if from LoveFilm - It's bloody brilliant, blows the DVD version away -The sound quality stood out more, but the picture is still top shelf ;-)

Great deal - Heat!

The Gladiator Blu-ray at this price is a good deal, undoubtedly.

Unfortunately if Blu-ray is supposed to be the premium product video-philes want ti to be then people ought to steer well clear until they release a fit version.

There are 2 transfers used in this version.
The 2000 master and the 2005 master.
The 2000 master unfortunately makes up the bulk of the material (cos this is the 'theatrical release' part) and was optimised for the DVD release and has way too much edge enhancement and DNR, which at the lower resolution didn't matter.
The 2005 master is used for the extended parts and looks great.

The lossless audio is the one bit they couldn't really screw up.

I had the film on order and cancelled.
I just don't see why the studios should be rewarded for sub-standard releases.

This film was released multiple times for DVD, IMHO buying this poor Blu-ray version of it only delays the release of the quality edition this ought to have been in the first place.

Love this film.
My favourite film but will wait for it to drop lower...
Heat added.
