Just remember turkey is not in the eu and so 'normal' standards of hygiene and cleanliness don't apply. If you've been before and know what to expect fair enough, but the 'holiday' is cheap for a reason, so take care especially with children. Try to find out how far it is to the nearest town in case you're not happy with things at the hotel, and you need a plan b.

Hotel is 2hrs plus from the airport, private transfers will cost £100 return, unless the hotel/tour co can do better. Turkey has improved a lot over recent years, and standards will be on par with other south European resorts. Excellent deal if you can make it.

been to Turkey many times, going back next week, highly recomend Olu Deniz/ Hisaranu area, restaurants are fab, Turkey is quite cheap compared to European destinations, most places except/ prefer sterling, worth checking before you go.

Well I have been to turkey 3* before. Kushasdasi, Alanya and Gumbter(Bodrium). I will admit the last time i went, I went AI basis. The food was ok for me, thou my hotel a suppoed 4* was more like a 3.
Drinks will be limted, and probably water down as well. Thou if you can find transport at a reasonable cost, then it would be worth a punt. Its really hot there, and when i went back in 2002, there was allot of German and Russain there. I'm going to look for cheap transers from some where

AVANTIME, turkey is getting dearer, but is miles from where it was. Beers arent far shy of the uk price. Not like back in 97, when it was 30p for a bottle of EFFS.
When me ex got stuck in Bodrium airport for hours on end during the terrosim in London attacks, i remember the airport being more expensive than the uk one. So warning to all of you out there.

What are the times of the flights please, we need to know

P.s yes it does look German from trip advisor

Alanya is pretty good, has stuff for families and singles and nice beaches. We have used a2b transfers before and had reasonable prices to alanya with shared minibuses

I remember the beaches across Turkey being very narrow, like 3meters wide.
#9
Ha ha, 3m would be narrow. I think a lot of the med beaches are narrower than the ones in UK, but then there is hardly any tides, however the ones in alanya are mostly quite long.
#10
They are narrow as. Not like my local one which is 3miles long, and goes out quite far. You just cant beat the beaches in the uk. So Turkey beaches dont cut it with me.

The old addage 'If something sounds too good to be true..." comes to mind.

amazing deal, but honestly, what can one actually expect from a return flight & half board for £69 ?
I doubt that even covers the transfers :)

Well personally I think is pretty hot. If you can manage to get it for one. How do you go about doing this rather waste your time calling them up at serval hundred pound a minute they charge. To find out these deals dont exist which they advertise, its based on a football team, and the hotel isnt good enough for your cat. lol!
Rather but to chase than waste my time with the bs they put on there? Anyone know?

Are you serious?
Anyone who dares to go in the sea at Southend or Margate will probably end up with all sorts of diseases and infections!
