great price, now if only i can get one in 2 months time :o

Great price. For me, Sanford is a much better airport than Orlando (MCO). It's a bit like using a regional airport in the UK such as Eastleigh or Cardiff. You can be off the plane and getting into your hire car in under an hour. At MCO, everything takes so long as it is a huge place, then you get stuck in a traffic jam leaving the car park. Same on the return flight. There won't be many flights so check-in does not take long. Not many shops but that doesn't bother me, just have a good meal before you check in.

cant find it at that price, its over £1200 for two
#7
Cant find it either, nothing coming up?

Just to pre warn anyone, we were going to book Thomas Cook airlines for next May as it was so cheap. Checked with travel agent about in flight entertainment etc (with kids and a 9 hour flight). They contacted Thomas Cook airlines who said they are taking all long haul planes and ripping out all tv's so there will be NO in flight entertainment for next year. For some that will not be a problem but would for others. Definitely worth checking out before you book and push for the answers too as they were reluctant to tell us!

Why on earth would they do that? Surely it would COST them money to do that??

Sounds like bull to me, obviously wanted to sell you something else.

Much more likely to charge for in flight entertainment, I think.
#12
If they are taking out stuff maybe it's to save weight?

iPad (or other tablet forms when they're available) are the future!

Coming up as £376.12 per person for the same dates shown in original post. Is there something you need to take off to get that price?
#14
This would be good if you could get the price. I guess its expired?
#15
I'd still say that £376 is a fairly good price from Glasgow, as recently the cheapest I've found has been around £500.

Lozzer is correct we fly long haul this year, 2 weeks before our flight we got a letter stating that 'after public consultation people didnt want inflight entertainment anymore as they brought their own' but you could at a cost of £7.50 rent a psp.....

Also thomas cook took over mytravel and just resprayed there planes, I flew My Travel to Sanford in 2007 and swore I never would again, leg room attrocious, seats tiny and tv's worked intermitently, which is great when ur tryin to watch a movie, and we flew from Manchester and didnt pre warn us that we would then be picking up from Cardiff on the way there and back. So this added an extra 2hours each way(with young kids) to an already bad flight.

Bear in mind the legroom on these flights. I flew with them last year, fortunately only as far as lanzarote, regular seats have minimum leg room so a nine hour flight would probably be classified as crimes against humanity.

What an absolute load of bull! These flights with Thomas Cook are on the Airbus A330-200 aircraft which have the seat back tv's in ALL seats with a choice of ents and with min 33" legroom even in economy cabin which is the joint highest in the industry for economy legroom.

Also, Thomas Cook AREN'T dropping the in-flight entertainment on long haul flights, only short/medium haul (under 6 hours). So please get your facts right first.

Finally, for info, they are dropping the premium upgrades on long haul flights from next summer as the government has decided to slap another £150 pp in taxes onto anyone travelling in premium economy (a tax designed to apply to scheduled first/business class passengers but which in effect is instead going to hit your average holidaymaker)!

Probably most people.

Great time of year to go. Normally hot ( but not too hot ) without the humidity and it doesn't get dark til around 10pm. Parks are fairly quiet after Easter and before main school holiday season.

Just an idea for anyone thinking of booking Florida. I've been looking at scheduled flights to Newyork then an internal to Orlando. :D
You can get some good deals on New York flights on the proper airlines (Virgin, BA, United etc) all with no little extras to pay, and TV's. An internal return flight down to Orlando i've found for as little as £110 and as you arrive in New York you wont have to do all the customs malarkey in Orlando.
Kill 2 birds with one stone and have a couple of days in the big apple before or after Orlando, for roughly the same price as a flight to Orlando alone. 8)

So you can get one to New York for £221.50?

So you can get one to New York for £221.50?

... and over the Easter holidays?

I was talking in general, and I don't think anyone can even get that Glasgow price anyway. Cheapest I've found is £376.12 and you have to pay Meals on top of that and no doubt pay extra to sit together.
#24
I got it to come up for me. It's without any baggage though which is £17.50 each way per person. So an extra £35 on a return flight. Still a crackin good price though
