That's a real shame to hear. I would still have bought at £20 as I've not been able to find anything comparable size AND pirce wise

Make a basic 8/8/8/4 Vicky sponge Mary Berry's recipe works well (I don't bother with the baking powder).

Once all ingredients JUST mixed, FOLD in up to a measuring cup of Irish cream. Bake. Cool. Beat your cream with a splish-splosh amount of Irish cream-enough to taste but not so much the cream can't be whipped, so guess under not over. Once whipped add a splish-splosh more. FOLD; taste; repeat if not reached the right level of taste yet.

Should you add too much Irish cream to the cream and then it won't whip...don't do a Come Dine with Me contestant special and chuck it all away! Just add a little icing sugar and beat again to stiffen the mixture.
