At this price, how can you go wrong?

I brought the exact same one a while back for like 30 quid. Combine it with a sleek LCD 32" it looks great. Voted hot; Great product great deal
#10
hot, if you can find it.
#11
when we bought our 43" , currys gave us a stand similar to this. in all fairness, the glass is super thick, and the thing is super heavy, however, they wanted £199 for it. So this seems a bargain.
#12
what is the width of this does anyone know? be careful as it says up too 32" but I have a pricey glass stand stand which is for up to 50" and my 42" Lcd fits perfectly, if my tv was any bigger it would be wider than the stand and look, well a bit naff! each to their own though!

Mine looks excactly the same and has a width of 31.5" if that helps.

a 32" lcd fits prefectly on this as i have a sony 32" lcd tv on this stand, i got my stand from argos, but its the same stand , its a bargain

Be careful kazza, if it's built for a 32" beware of putting anything too heavy on it! Great deal though! :)
#16
great if you can find them i paid £60 for something similar from argos back along :(
#17
Got the bigger version of this stand from Currys last year. You will be forever dusting it, good price though, I paid nearly £100 for mine.
#18
is this in selected stores as the one b me is selling it for £50 reduced from £60?
#19
A brilliant first post Kazza. Thank you very much. Just what I wanted. Took at lot of finding but eventually got the last one in Sunderland.
#20
Do you know the dimensions for this?
#21
I got one that looks the exact same from Argos it cost me about £50 and I thought that was good! Bargain!
#22
poole branch still had 2 units left as at midday today...they also had some chrome/silver wood stands similar for £10 each as well
#23
asda at spondon still has two smoked black ones at 9am and 6 wood ones for £5.i brought the last clear one!thanks for spotting this deal.::-

I was there late last night and there was an empty shelf. Lots of restocking of other electrical things going on, crates and cardboard boxes in the aisles, but no black glass units waiting to be put on the shelves.

They had the cheaper clear glass unit.

If you do go can you post back if they've replensihed the stock of the dark units?
#26
It's £60.00 on the ASDA site. If you can find it £10.00 in a store it would be roasting hot!!

ASDA Linwood & ASDA Govan stores both have stock. Linwood branch only had two when my dad went. They seem to be the same stand, but one is listed as 'Clear View' and the other listed as 'Elegant'. I assume the Elegant one is the black glass. And it was listed as £10 too.

Although it's meant for 32", the top glass shelf apparently supports up to 80KG. My 40" LCD weighs about 20-25KG. Basically, if you have an LCD telly then don't worry about the weight - the stand should support it easily. The box does mention 32" CRT's so im guessing that's why the glass is built to take 80KG... Old CRT's do weigh an absolute tonne.

edit: Ok, so Dad just delivered it to me...
Stand itself weighs about 17KG. Specs listed on packaging is up to 32" LCD & 28" CRT. Bottom & middle shelf can support up to 20KG. Top shelf can support up to 80KG.

For £10 it's a brilliant price! Looks good with the black glass and chrome. Looks brilliant with my 40" black Samsung, black DVDRW, black WDTV HD Media Player, and a soon-to-be black HTPC

Receipt shows:

TV STRAND with product/barcode/whatever number 501667602391

17KG? it weighs a right tonne! looks great though - can't beat that price, to whom it may concern ASDA dagenham had around 6 ...-1 about 2 hours ago (elegant/black and chrome)

Are these stackable?

I would consider using a couple for my separates if they were.
#30
Just picked one up myself at Asda Oldham Living, although there wasnt any on display the girl said they have a few in stock still in the back when I asked. not sure how many tho. Best givin thme a call and reserving one if possible.
#31
just managed to get the wood one for my sons bedroom for £5.00 at Asda Castle Point. Still can't believe how cheap they are
banned#32
mine is all assembled and up now...looks fantastic with my LCD 32" samsung...i think if you put a 40" then it would overhang more on the sides.....for £10 it's brilliant...it took me 10 mins to put together....it's solid chrome...not the cheap plastic lookalike...the black shelves are proper strong as well.....it can go in a corner or full front...AMAZING!!!!
#33
I got a very similiar one to this, probably the same and got a 40" Sony TV on it and is fine. The edges do hangover slightly but its no big deal really. This is a bargain.

They are not stackable by design. Nothing stopping you from stacking it, but just make sure you secure them properly to each other somehow... Otherwise you are just asking for trouble! Superglue won't cut the mustard either - You may need to drill a big threading into the chrome pillars and stick a metal pole through them to make sure theres no movement in it.

Then again I suck at DIY so I may be taking crap... Definately not meant to be stacked though.
#35
Got the last one from Robin Park Wigan, was priced at £50, but I asked the nice lady assistant to scan it, came up at £10, they still had 2 clear ones, they also scan at £10, thanks again.

Would it be possible to not use the feet from one, and just keep screwing in more of the longer sections of chrome?

Also, can someone post the spacing in between the shelves?

Thanks
