I've gone through Quidco, but now I am not sure how to enter the MORE4LESS code as well. Is it possible?

I've just priced up some of these "deals " against my own pricing. Value they are indeed but only with 50% off and the extra 15%. Otherwise "like for like " these guys are no different from my own stuff and many other independent optoms (and some hight street stuff too!) and often I am less expensive. Good to know that. Mind you - I charge properly and correctly for a decent full eye examination that last 45 mins!

You pays your money...

I want a new pair of glasses - but no optician will make up my prescription as the current one is out-of-date (over 2 years old). What a nanny state this place has become, I know it's old, but I don't want to get an eye exam - and I'm prepared to put up with whatever they deem to be the detrimental effect of wearing glasses made to an old prescription ---- and in any case, the ones I'm wearing now are to that very prescription, so a new pair will do no more 'harm' than this pair. What a load of b/s.

Anyway, the upshot is I'd like to take advantage of an offer like this, only they won't let me :)

You can't use both Quidco and a voucher anymore at Glasses Direct, it seems. If you go through quidco is shows your voucher as "quidco" so you can't enter the MORE4LESS voucher.

They will. My prescriptions is at least 2 years old, and I can still order specs. Besides, there's nothing to stop you re-entering your prescription details with an updated date.

I don't think it even matters anyway, there's a box you have to check during the checkout process that says something like "I confirm this prescription is less than 2 years old". Just check it man.

It'sa not about Specs doh!!! so no b/s I'm afraid.

Its about making sure that the health of the eye is OK and that you don;''t have any sight threatening or life threatening disease. Go look at the stats re this. Now go get your eyes examined like a good citizen.

are these guys better than goggles4u?
#12
anyone know who/how they dispatch the glasses, also where from?
#13
I'd guess the restriction on not using a prescription after to years is to prevent people driving etc on an old prescription.
