I was unsure what the glasses would be like once they arrived and they were exactly as the picture had shown. I was only going to use them for driving and as a spare pair but they quickly became my best pair. I took them to my optitions and he was inpressed. These are not sub standard quality from my experience.

No one wants to shell out for specs just after xmas but these are so affordable you just have to get a pair even if they are for a spare set. I am always losing glasses and sitting on them in the car so i can afford to now. :p

The only negative comments were on the time for delivery as you might have to wait 4 weeks but there were customers that got theirs quicker than expected.
Mostly everyone says the glasses themselves were great. I think i waited less than 2 weeks but they do have a good customer services(i can vouch for that).

Not sure why this is cold. I recently found my latest prescription so I have taken a punt and ordered some glasses. Cost was 9.50 delivered. Have some heat and thanks from me :)

Cold because this is there normal price for very limited range of framed glasses.

Have a look at Tesco. You can get a pair of glasses for £10 and they have a larger selection of frames. The other advantage is you get free eye test and you can collect, and therefor talk to an optician. Much better value, IMO.

BTW, think carefully about anti-reflection coating. I find it not comfortable myself. I get coloured outlines on some objects (e.g. on a LCD TV screen) when the viewing angle is not exactly 90 deg, which I don't get without the coating.

I had an eye test done yesterday and my eyes had changed but there was no way i could afford to pay what i would normally pay so this is fantastic for people like me.....and you. :D

I wouldnt have posted a deal on glasses if i hadnt any experience of them myself. I am really glad you got a deal. I know that sometimes delivery can take a bit longer than stated but equally they do deliver earlier as well. The quality or the cost of glasses are never in question though.

Even the best companys give poor service but we still go back for the product if the product is good.

Because Tesco is £10 with personal service and no wait + plus free eye test. How is the selectspec cheaper than that?

If your lenses arent right you should take them back. Surely they shouldnt be like that. I just had a look at tescos glasses and i cant see they have more for less

A quick search at Tesco, between 50 and 100 pairs.

I saw 3 pairs at £10. You get free single vision standard lenses, thin and light are an extra £60

Selectspecs...
In ladies glasses it says, square/rectangular 354 pairs
semi rimless 232 etc. ladies frames over 3000 pairs
Thats a lot of frames imho.

This is copied from Selectspecs site..

**We offer an exclusive range of Single Vision prescription glasses for just £6.00 for Full Rimmed, £9.00 for Semi-Rimless and £14.50 for Rimless frames, but that's not all... We firmly believe in not hiding any hidden costs for highly recommended 'optional extras' so each pair in our cheap glasses range includes a FREE scratch resistant coating, full UV protection and anti-reflection treatment! We strongly believe you will be hard pushed to find a better value pair of glasses complete with UV, Anti-Reflection and Scratch Resistant coatings anywhere else, so get your order in quickly as availability is limited.**

Thats a big claim to make without being able to back it up.

If you dont have an eye test at tescos the glasses are no cheaper that these ones. Plus you have to get to tescos in the first place and it might be snowing lol

Btw, do you get your glasses while you wait or do you have to go back?

You dont wait. You order your glasses online and fill-in your prescription, same way as any other order from selectspec or other suppliers. Either have them posted or collect from store.

I am confused now lol
Do Tescos do free eye tests? So you go to Tescos, have your free eye test then you go home and order your frames on line?

back again, just googled and found that Tescos only do free eye tests when there is an offer on. So anyone can get the free eye test. I can have a free(when available)eye test at Tescos and still choose from THOUSANDS of frames at Selectspecs from as little as £6. At tescos i can choose from around 100 pairs and i think there are only 7 pairs at £10. Is this right?

Someone posted up here that they paid £9.50 delivered for their glasses, so its cheaper than tescos and thousands more frames to choose from. Great deal by far.
