Not quite sure why anyone would pay £ 39.99 for 1 litre when a 70cl bottle can be had for £ 19.99 in Tescos anyway....

Still a very good price though :)

Cheers

that screenshot is from tesco groceries, however when you add it to the basket it is still £39.99!

Maybe they were expecting loads of stock that hasn't turned up?

My dad sent me in for 5 this morning....massive poster up next to it but still scanned at £39.99. The half wit manager who came over said it finished yesterday and made a big fuss before agreeing to give me it for the advertised price of £19.99. There was no date on the big poster. Got home and checked on the net to find the offer only started today (as op had posted). So, I phoned the store to tell them what a moron the woman was because she really made a big fuss and promptly took the poster down with the offer on.

You would think that they would be aware of an offer like this. And there is a huge shelf stacked full of these bottles.

So, deffo the 1ltre for £19.99. My dad will probs be sipping on it right now. Thanks op....would have missed this otherwise.

Not Instore - still £39.99 :(

Just been in Tesco Horwich again. Still £39.99, shelves full of all glenfiddich varieties due to such high prices.
Hopefully we'll see this reduction soon.
#19
I went in Infirmary Road, Sheffield Store, it's still 39.99 on the shelf but there is no stock left?!?!
#20
Anyone else been able to pick this up at £19.99 in store yet? Still no luck here in Manchester.
#21
The morons in Walsall, Wolverhampton and Willenhall still know jack S*** about this offer.

Good job i brought loads of the 17£ 70CL at asda (which is still on by the way)

This is a very good deal if you can get it last year they killed it with Glenmorangie once again that was very hit anr miss.
#22
This was due to be £19.99 yesterday but the offer was cancelled.
It went down to £24.99 as of today.
#23
£39.99 was a totally unrealistic original price. £19.99 isnt much of a deal 12 year old whisky is often this price at this time of year.

Glenfiddich isnt that good anyway, you should try to get a decent malt like Highland Park, Talisker, Old Pulteney etc. Glenfiddich is the typical malt nbought by those who dont know much about whisky. Yor average Tesco punter for example...
#24
The last time I bought this I drank the whole bottle in one evening.

I'm due to get out in the New Year but it's not all bad as the Warden lets me use the PC's whenever I want.

You all have a very Merry Christmas, gotta go, time to slop out.
#25
Save your money!

Why not make a delicious Islay malt, by taking a cheap blended whisky and soaking a lapsang souchong teabag in it over night. Voila!
#26
no record of it ANYWHERE

Bit of a generalisation to say "Glenfiddich isn't that good anyway". If you're just talking about the 12yr old fair enough.
Try the Glenfiddich 18yr which you can get in Tesco for about £27, it's fantastic. Iain Banks wrote a book touring all the distilleries and named the Glenfiddich 21yr old as his favourite whisky, personally I think the 18yr old is better.
#28
The 15 year is my favourite if it's the Solera Reserve one still, is it just the 12yr that's been reduced or are the others too?
#29
Well as a Sassenach and Irish mix I'd say the Ledaig Single they've been peddling at Jim Morrison's for the past indefinite period at £15.50 a bottle is neh bad value.:stocking:

Personally, I found the Glen Morange Port cask whisky was one of my favourites I've had for a while when I tried it....

Omg, you missed a DTD opportunity there!
That would have been a free litre of whisky! (well, technically they would have paid you 1p =)

Though if the manager was unhappy selling it to you at the offer price, I think you'd have had a fight getting him to honour the DTD policy and give it to you for free.
#32
Good deal imo, i like glenfid sometimes :)

Just got 3 @ £24.99. Will make good Xmas gifts. Still scanned through at full price though. Showed the manager the offer which is now on tescos site on mobile to get the discount. Don't seem too sharp on starting offers, tesco, especially as this one ends tomorrow according to their site.

So it's today or tomorrow if you want them for £25. And do check as they get scanned.

You didn't demand DTD? You could have saved yourself £45!

Bought from tesco online on 16 Dec and they charged me £24.99 on the delivery receipt!! Very odd as my email confirmation showed £19.99. Is this a common occurrence??
