"This excellent 18 year old single malt from Glenlivet is a classic Speyside dram, it also won two golds at the International Wine and Spirits Competition."

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt:

The nose is quite big and well-rounded. There are notes of chewy sultanas and sherried peels, barley sugars and toasty cereals with petals and apple blossom. A touch of fudge and gentle wisps of smoke. The palate is full and rich with notes of chewy, tannic oak. Manuka honey and walnut with Cox’s apples and orange peels. Cut herbs; fennel and spearmint. The finish is long and dry with a spicy oak note

if you drink bells you may as well drink antifreezeif i drink single … if you drink bells you may as well drink antifreezeif i drink single malt, rare these days, its neat - no water, ice, mixers (what idiot mixes single malts)

Stop acting like you know what you are talking about.

Ice/water is regularly recommended for blends or single malts if they are too tight.

People should also stop putting "single malts" up on a pedestal. Some blends are fantastic and the best bottles of single malt which stand above blends will set you back more then £25.

There are several things you should not put in an 18 year old. Coke is one of them.

I got a bottle for this price a couple of weeks ago in the Burnley Tesco. Figured it was just a one off in store. They might be phasing it out so selling it on cheap. Either way this is a fantastic malt and £24 is a bargain. Always upwards of £40 everywhere else and with good reason.

The 15-year stuff is unremarkable but the 12 & 18 are very nice - I just hope there's some in my local.
Nadurra is very nice with water too.
    Cheers OP!

Have some heat - this is very good stuff. If you need to mix some sort of fizzy rubbish with this then you are either drinking the wrong drink or you have no clue how to drink single malts. £10 will buy you a bottle of Bells, which you can happily mix away.

From what I can find Waitrose don't even sell the 18 Year Old; it's £39 for the 15 Year Old Glenlivet.

Thanks for the post OP, will be calling into Tesco on the way home tonight!

Loads of people have found it elsewhere.
I guess it might just be the larger Tescos.
