Now that is a bargain. Might just have a wander down to Morrisons.
#2
very good price!
#3
Marvie like. Marvie want.
#4
Absolutely great deal. Not a massive fan of Glenmorangie but could be severely tempted at this price.
#5
This stuff is great
#6
Well, I had a wander down to my local branch, and it was £29.99. Not so good.

It's just an average mass produced scotch these days, nothing like it was £25 years ago....but still trading on it 's old reputation.

still hot at this price....so have some heat
#8
Had a bottle of this a couple of years ago and I really liked it.

Unfortunately there isn't a Morissons anywhere near me.

Is it?

I wouldn't say it's an average malt and they still produce it at the original distillery in Tain which is not a large distillery.

Maybe Bells or Grouse is your preferred drink slamdunkin?

Seahore, It definetly can't be shop specific as they had signs that were about 6 foot tall hanging of the shelf advertising it they read £29.99 down to £23.99 and now down to £14.99. When they did run it through the till it still priced at £29.99.. however a quick point to the enormous signs and all was well. Bought in Devizes Morrisons.

Morrisons are professionals at overcharging especially when they have offers on you can't come away from that store without checking your receipt!!

That wil be the origininal distillary that got extended to double the size in 1987....lol

1980 Stills increased from 2-4
1990 Stills increased from 4-8
2004 Glenmorangie plc was purchased by Luis Vuitton Moet Hennessey (LVMH)
2009 another 4 giant vats that doubled the output.

You might find they re-furbished the distillary, I should know I live 6 miles away from it.

Thanks. Mine is a fairly small store, and there were no indications of it being on special offer. There were just a few bottles on the normal shelf. They're maybe a bit slow, so I'll try later in the week. It is a very good buy at £14.99.

Totally agree with you fiddiweb. Clearly he dosent have a clue about whiskys full stop. he probably drinks highlander. Now he will come back with a comment about drinking 30 year old macallan. People just dont get it, glenmorangie for this price is awesome. equivelant of getting your bells whisky for around £6 a bottle. Mass produced, what isnt these days. taste is personal but this stuff is awesome for the price. Voted VERY VERY HOT !!!

Maybe you'd like to inform some of the most knowagable whisky people that they have it all wrong and they don't know what they are talking about too.

Glenmorangie has proven that it's possible to increase sales considerably while decreasing 'quality'.
Since the early 1990's the profile of the regular expressions had been growing blander and blander, but the changes happened at an even more rapid pace after perfume peddlers Louis Vuitton MH obtained the distillery.

Went to the Morrisons Bristol branch & no signs about it being reduced, it was priced up at £29.99 on the shelf but I did get it checked at a till & it was £23.99 there...
#22
The stuff tastes great. It obviously used to be better, but that doesn't make it bad nowadays. Have some heat, thanks for the heads up.

As malt whisky goes, it's not bad at all.

What's exceptional though is the price - a bottle of malt for under £15?

Hot!

I went to a bigger branch today, and it was £23.99. They also had the Glenmorangie Lasanta at the same price, reduced from over £31, so I got a bottle of that instead.
