I'll have a look in my local Tesco 2moz.

just bought couple of hours later and didn't realised and looked at my bill :) yes its a glitch, I can confirm that.

Surprisingly they charged me two different rates for same liquid (lemon) £1.43 & £1.40 and then they took off £0.83 twice, so the total was 1.17 and that equates to £0.585 slightly more but still bargain.

just got 22 bottles of the apple and lime :) so it could work on all of them HTH

Tesco Pricing seems to be all over the place at the moment. Chicken Basics Ready Meals were showing as £2.78 each or buy 2 for £6, yesterday. I pointed it out to one of the shelf stackers, as they were packing the shelf next to it, but they didn't seem to give a toss (I'm not sure the girl's maths was that good!).

Same thing happened on the Mixed Fruit Salads, £1.25 each or 2 for £3, several weeks back. Would have been interesting to see what the checkout made of it. Would this apply as a pricing error under their terms, so you get the items (buying two) free anyway?

I'd have bought dishwasher while I was there too, if I'd needed that much :)

Its because the product has previously been a higher price (making the 2 for price make sense), Tesco have now made the individual price cheaper but not updated the shelf label to reflect the change.

Does your mum make you do the dishes?

Thanks just got back from my local took 12 bottles to self service what a gamble paid off 47p each

Just a helpful word
There are different variaties but some of the bottles are 740ml some lower depending on variety, unless your going for the anti bacterial ones (blue) just stick to the bigger bottles so you get more bang for your buck

They are very unlikely to do it as the price they scan on the date of delivery is what you will pay, they'll probably rectify the error shortly
#22
will try and pop down in morning see if they still have it, pls update if anyone finds its not working anymore thanx
#23
So, all in all, does this deal mean you can get all varieties no matter what size they are sold in(433ml.,650 or 740) and the glitch will work (@ present anyway!)??
#24
Please let it work tomo voted hot! I will try the large bottles if I find them as in worst case you pay £1 each for 740ml
banned#25
What size bottles does this work for?

Also is the original included in this offer?

The glitch knocks off 53p per bottle to put it into perspective.

just got back from my local, and its still taking off the discount twice.worked out at 57p or 58p per bottle, depending which one you get. (the lemon is £1.43 each = 57p each after discount, the original is £1.40 each = 58p each after discount) Both bottles are 650ml. HTH.
#27
It works for different sized bottles
Just check online which ones are marked in the 2 for 2 pound promo and add to your basket online and see what the price works out to be as it's different prices for different varieties
#28
Worked for me too - smells lovely aswell X) Thanks!
#29
750ml original last longer ones for £1 at asda
#30

HOT HOT HOT X) (Wife will be happy)
#34
I bought 2 bottles on Saturday and I only had the discount taken once guess my store isnt as generous
#35
So much greed on this thread.
#36
This actually isn't greed because no ones taken huge amounts
There's loads of different varieties so there's enough for everyone

Its because the product has previously been a higher price (making the 2 for price make sense), Tesco have now made the individual price cheaper but not updated the shelf label to reflect the change.

It was shown as £2.78 | 2 for £6 on the shelf label (and more than once for products in range) + individually priced on stock

A another way of looking at it - Tesco have made the individual prices prices more expensive to £3.50, but certain items are still the old price of £2.78. (There's not much getting cheaper in Tesco at the moment)

Seems to be a lot of size / weight+price changes going on. Another product in the range showed this label too, but the product itself was now 396g in weight (previously 368g I think), but now individually priced at £3.50, though still showing £2.78 | 2 for £6 on the shelf label.

Just hope this isn't Tesco's 'new thing' - as the Chief Executive Terry Leary has left.

Seems Tesco are attempting to confuse the customer so much, that they'll just stick the items in the basket, in fairness Tesco do have the clearest labeling of any of the supermarkets - black on white, and generally on the whole- the prices shown are correct, in my experience. Cooperative often have pricing errors on change-over day (Wednesday where I am).
