Lets see if i can easily explain this.....
The link should take you to a choice of trousers, we are looking at the flat front crease resistant trousers at £9.50 a pair, though states "Buy 2 save £10".
The discount doesn't apply when purchasing online, and obviously should be advertised as such.
But i phoned the orderline on 0845 609 0200 and said i couldn't get the offer to apply.
I had to direct the CS agent to where i saw the promotion - which was by selecting trousers & jeans, then choose 38in, then filter price low-high.
She saw it instantly and said she would amend the price on my order for me, though i have to pay the £3.50 p&p. So 2 pairs delivered for £12.50 'aint bad.
Although i've checked my order online and she's priced 1 pair at £8.50 and the other at £0.00 + £3.50 p&p so i only pay £12 - but that's because she couldn't add up lol.

Anyway - hope you got the jest of that,

How about extra 6% Quidco :)
- Goodman

Nice one. Good to see they are processing the orders.
Looks like M&S are catching up with the supermarkets when its cheaper to buy a quantity of 2 then it is of 1. :-D

I paid for the order over the phone and the guy said he'd take £10 off. He gave me an order number and i've just gone to check it and he's only charged me delivery!! The order value is £0.00 and total price os £3.50.

Think he's made a wee mistake!!!

HaHa.... funny story, seriously... went to get the multi gym of ours out the box room last weekend for a workout and ended up spraining a back muscle when lifting it.... didn't even get it out of the room before injuring myself.....nevermind, got a box of Ferrero Rocher for comfort :p

Nice spot have some heat, this won't be long before its pulled I think

Thanks for this. Just ordered and rang up. CS told me the price was wrong on the website and should have been £19.50 per pair, with £`10 discount. He still said I was getting a bargain for £22.50 delivered but I asked him if they would honour the internet price. He went off to check with his supervisor and came back and said yes they would as this mistake was noticed 3 weeks ago and nobody had changed it. Refunded me the difference. Price has changed to £19.50 on website already!
Lets hope they fit now otherwise I may have to go in and exchange them!!

What phone number you ringing - I've ordered but just fired off an email querying why the £10 promotion discount hasn't been applied.

Wierd sizing. I had to go for a 34/33 as I'm normally 34/32. Don't want to risk the 34/31 and having them running half mast. lol
#17
Phone number is: 0845 609 0200 and you'll have to talk them through to the web page were you saw it but you'll get the discount ok.

Goodman - you take the biscuit! I got so excited I never thought about Quidco and another 15% - you are my hero, lol

Thanks for the Biscuits.

Actually they gave me 30% Discount.
15% when i purchased it online and another 15% over the phone. she was asking me from where i got the voucher and i said that i got it in email. she couldn't apply the promotion at first ( as it was already applied ) so she further reduced the cost of trousers. :-D

BTW why cant I see this deal in HOT tab?

I saw the 15% discount after I'd placed the order and thought it a bit cheeky to cancel and re-order.

I'm happy with the 2 for £12.50 - I normally buy my work trousers from Next at £40-ish.

Thought I would be cheeky and ordered 4 pairs.
It worked cheers £18

Superb. Ordered four pairs, used 15% discount code, takes it to total order price £32.30 (free delivery!). Lovely helpful lady at call centre taking off £20 BUT still free delivery! £12.30 for four pairs delivered!

And £1.90 tracking in Quidco!
#30
I bought 4 pairs and an item for £5. Rung up M&S Online helpdesk this morning and the assistant was really helpful and I was her fifth caller this morning on the same subject.! As I bought a belt and also used 15% discounts the maths got a bit complicated. So in the end I have to pay £27 ish in total for 4 pairs inclusive of a £5 for the other item. And the system would not allow her to add another promotion code to take off 15%. So she offered £10 off my next purchase. So I am happy with this so the maths is roughly £27.20 minus £4.25 for the other item (with 15% off) the 4 pairs of trousers are then about £23. Take off £10 for next purchase as I am bound to buy again!. This means £13 for fours pairs with free delivery and my quidco has tracked at £2.15 making these 4 pairs of trousers at just under £11!!!:w00t::w00t:hot pants:-D
 Top marks for M&S for customer helpdesk, this is in the top league of helpdesk agents. I like them a lot for these reasons:-
1) Home feeling with British people at the end of the line and not several thousand miles away
2) Well mannered and helpful voice
3) Speedy action with supervisor on hand to make instant decisions
4) Good listener and not pushy with selling more stuff (at M&S the goods that I buy sell themselves anyway and I don't need someone to tell me to buy more)
#31
Whats the 15% discount voucher then? I cant seem to find it..!! Or is just for some people?
#32
Oh dont worry, just realised - its early still, dont think i'm quite awake!!
#33
Further point. I don't know how many M&S agents there are at the helpdesk. They are all familiar with the situation as they have dealt with many cases. They will be successful in building a big portfolio of men walking about with M&S trousers in the coming months! They may go well, in a completely reversed logic with these really exquisite underwear http://www.sunspel.com/ and no one will know that you spent £3 for a pair of trousers and £15 - £20 for a pair Sunspel boxer shorts. (Jeremy Paxman, are you reading this?! ) These expensive underwear will make your best deal trousers feel far superior. It is in the inside feeling that no one needs to know!

I think you'll find 15% off and then another 15% off is actually only 27.75% off in total and not 30%. Someone was snoozing in their maths class at school! Ironic really, as your Avatar would definitely not have made that mistake!!!
What happens if you take the trousers back to M&S with no receipt? What refund do you get?

Can anyone explain why this thread isn't appearing under the "HOT" button? It's got a lot more heat than many of the threads that are being listed there - don't understand this!
[helper]#36
This gets better - web site now gives price as £9.50 for 2. As it wasn't accepting my credit card (anyone else have trouble with Barclaycard saying wrong credit card type?) I rang them and they've taken a further £10 off - I don't think the call centre realise the prices have been updated to 2 pairs for £9.50. So in effect I got a discount of £19.50........
#37
My 4 pairs ordered for £12.25 delivered, less whatever the Quidco is. Should end up about £2.50 a pair! Not worth cleaning them at this price!
