Simply charge it up in natural daylight and let it glow for eight hours in darkness. Safer than a candle.

The most I have had out of this, was a very very dull glow, which I only noticed when the lights were off. I actually thought it was broken.

I bought one of these and wanted to try it as soon as I took it out of the box!
I shone a torch on it and it seemed to work ok, I stuck it right by a table lamp for a couple of hours and it glowed reasonably brightly.
Then I moved it to a window sill in direct sunlight, even after a couple of days of bright sunshine it barely lit up at all!!
Don't expect anything amazing unless you want to keep it by a real lightbulb...
